Here was our view out the window this morning BEFORE the worst of the storm hit. Due to the ice storm and high winds forecasted afterwards, it is highly probable that we may lose power and communications tonight. So, we have decided keep the lab closed on Monday, January 26th as many roads will still remain impassable thru Monday. Tuesday is also up in the air depending how much ice melts off the roads.

Our front office will be closing tomorrow, December 23, starting at NOON (Eastern Time) and will remain closed thru Friday, December 26th for Christmas. The following week, we will be open except on January 1st for New Year's Day. We hope you have a safe and happy holiday with your friends and family.

Let's talk about Finger Springs. On the lab side of the orthodontic industry, this term is probably one of the most abused terms we deal with...especially when it is confused with a spur (i.e. active vs. passive).

So, we just want to clarify what we call the most common springs, introduce you to some more complex springs, and give you an overview of what they all do...or are at least intended to do.

Well, there you have it. Now you have a new wrinkle on your brain. We hope this will help the next time you draw on that Prescription Rx and request what you intended to get...rather than a phone call back to your office wanting to know what you really meant.

Winter Storm Cora is on its way and is expected to cause travel issues and possible power and communication outages throughout North Georgia this weekend. Due to the high probability of 0.25" of ice mixed with low temperatures and 3-5" inches of snow starting early tomorrow, the lab will likely be closed Friday. If this changes, we will update you through our normal communication channels.

If you have any digital submissions that you were planning on sending tomorrow, you may want to reconsider sending those today...otherwise they may be received on Monday.
