✨ Announcement ✨
I’m honored to share something close to my heart…

After years of walking alongside others on their healing journeys through Gainesville Healing House, I’ve finally put pen to paper. Raised to be a Soldier is a book born from my training, research gathered and the stories I’ve witnessed, about the deep ways childhood trauma shapes and armors us—emotionally, psychologically, and physically.
This book is a reflection on the body’s wisdom, and how somatic therapies can help us begin to feel safe, soften, and reconnect with ourselves.

It’s not easy to write about pain, but I believe in the power of vulnerability and the hope that comes with healing. My hope is that Raised to be a Soldier offers a light for those navigating their own path toward wholeness.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey. If you feel called to read or share, I am grateful. https://a.co/d/gzdFoW4

With care,
Kelly Nenezian

Did you know that several of the therapists at Gainesville Healing House also founded and run a nonprofit? 💙

Healing for All, Inc. was created in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when our team saw the urgent need to improve access to mental healthcare in our community. The mission of Healing for All is simple: we believe that everyone—regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, income level, or insurance status—deserves access to quality mental healthcare.

We’re excited to share some upcoming fundraising events hosted by your favorite therapists at Gainesville Healing House. Every penny raised will directly support mental health services for those in need.

Trauma doesn’t just reside in memories; it can echo through our bodies too. Whether it’s tension, pain, or other physical symptoms, our bodies often hold the stories of our past. Let’s acknowledge the significance of healing not just our minds, but also our bodies.

Recognizing the signs of trauma is the first step towards healing and support. Some common signs include hypervigilance, flashbacks, avoidance, mood swings, difficulty concentrating, and difficulty trusting/feeling safe in relationships.

At our practice we often see people who have given up on therapy and even medications because they feel their treatment isn’t working. We find that many times underlying trauma was not being addressed and therefore symptoms were not improving or were only improving temporarily.

At Gainesville Healing House we specialize in trauma. We want to help you find sustainable and deep level healing. Healing is possible.

Emotions are the colors that paint the canvas of our lives, yet so often we find ourselves holding back, repressing the very essence of who we are. 🎨 It’s time to break free from the chains of repression and embrace the full spectrum of human feeling. Let’s co-create a space where vulnerability is celebrated, where tears are honored, and where authenticity reigns supreme. 🌈
