We have two Dermatologists, two Nurse Practitioners and two Physician's Assistants that are happy to assist you with all of your dermatological needs in our three offices. Our highly trained staff is dedicated to providing you and your family with the finest comprehensive skin care available in a professional, caring atmosphere. For over forty years, it has been our goal to treat each of our patients like members of our own family. We are currently located in Gainesville, Ga., less than one mile from Northeast Georgia Medical Center. We also have two satellite offices located in Dahlonega and Habersham.

It’s National Eczema Awareness Week, a time to raise understanding about a condition that affects millions of children and adults worldwide.

Eczema (atopic dermatitis) can cause itching, redness, and discomfort – but with the right care, flare-ups can be managed and quality of life can improve.

Pro tips from Dermatology Providers for safe, effective oatmeal baths:
• Use lukewarm-not hot-water to avoid triggering flare-ups.
• Add ½ to 1 cup of colloidal oatmeal, stirring until the water turns milky.
• Be mindful of safety – oatmeal can make the tub slippery, so use a nonslip mat (especially for kids and older adults) and ensure supervision during and after the bath.
