On March 26, 2026 we lost my beautiful mom.

There are no words big enough to describe her. She was truly larger than life—cowboy strong, loving, and the kind of person who made everyone feel special and loved. She touched more lives than I think any of us will ever fully realize.

My heart is broken, but I’m so thankful for every moment, every lesson, and every bit of love she gave so freely.

There are dogs… and then there are the once-in-a-lifetime kind. The kind that change you. The kind you measure all others against.

So many of you have shared stories about the dogs you got from Mom—how they became your shadow, your partner, your heart. And hearing those stories means more than you know.

Red River Border Collies was never just about raising dogs. It was about raising that dog—the one that finds its way into your soul and stays there.

That legacy lives on in every pup, every story, and every family who’s been part of this journey. 🤍 ~Lacy

Zoey is home with her new family… Pam and Chris have been a part of our family for a hundred years… I can guarantee she will be spoiled rotten 🤣 they showed up with a bunch of new toys and lots of love 💕 to make it even better, they live close to the ranch and she can come visit aunt Lacy any time she wants.

Long time customer Reagan Mathews finally came to get another pup for his 3500 acre cattle ranch. He had lost the “best dog he ever had” to a rattle snake… it took him several years to replace her… But I think this little pup is exactly what he needed to heal the broken heart. A new pup never replaces an old love… it just expands the heart to make room for a new one ❤️

His old pup was out of Sweet Pea and by Jake… I have some great clips of her working on the ranch. I’ll do a video of her as a memorial and a testimony to our dogs 🤠

At first I thought this family would have their hands full with our little chunky monkey 🤣 but with Mark Robinson’s growing family, cows, goats and 1 lama, Gus Gus will have plenty to keep him busy. Looking forward to seeing him in his new home 🥰🤠
