Longstreet Clinic has remained steadfast in its commitment to patients and community. In fact, years ago, in partnership with United Way of Hall County’s Read Learn Succeed initiative, our pediatric providers began giving a language- and age-appropriate book at well visits to all pediatric patients in Hall County to encourage reading. This “prescription to read” reaches approximately 4,000 families per year and has provided over 40,000+ books since its inception.

In 2001, Longstreet Clinic was recognized as an innovator by implementing the region’s first electronic health record. In fact, we received the e-Technology Award from the Physicians’ Institute of Excellence for successfully implementing an electronic medical records system that had a positive impact on clinical practice and quality care. Our focus on providing innovative care continues today. By implementing EPIC (an industry leading health information platform that allows Longstreet providers to share one patient medical record across other Epic providers-like NGHS), our focus on providing innovative care remains the same today as it has for the past 30 years as we continue to redefine healthcare in our community.

Deborah Long is known for a lot of things: She owns and runs her own business, she’s a wife and mother, and she’s the reigning Mrs. Buford – who will compete for Mrs. Georgia in 2026. What she wants to be known for, however, is what she wants other women to know about: Breast cancer, it’s early-stage signs, and what women should do if they notice any of these.
