North Central Florida AAPC

North Central Florida AAPC Local Chapter ( #35215) of AAPC for the Gainesville and North Central Florida area. Established 04/01/1997

AAPC was founded in 1988 to provide education and professional certification to physician-based medical coders and to elevate the standards of medical coding by providing student training, certification, ongoing education, networking, and job opportunities. Since then, AAPC has expanded beyond coding to include training and credentials in documentation and coding audits, regulatory compliance, and physician practice management. Currently, AAPC has a membership base of 120,000 worldwide, of which more than 90,000 are certified. AAPC credentialed coders have proven mastery of all code sets, evaluation and management principles, and documentation guidelines. CPC’s and other AAPC credentialed coders represent the best in outpatient coding.

Coding Fiesta 2025 was a huge success! THANK YOU to our chapter officers (and their significant others) who time and time again put in the work! Our speakers were TOP NOTCH- experts in their respective fields! Excellence across the board! Our attendees were bright-eyed and eager to take in the day. We had a day of education, networking, food, and fellowship. Did anyone get a picture of the queso fountain? Raffle prizes rounded out the day. Feel free to tag yourself if you want to!
