The honest answer is that it depends on your plan.

Most plans don't automatically cover FES bikes for home use, but some people do get support through exceptions, appeals, or other funding paths.

Meet Matthew πŸ‘‹

Matthew has an SCI at T12–L1, which resulted in incomplete paraplegia.

Before the MyoCycle, he dealt with spasms and extreme muscle atrophy, to the point where he couldn't move his left leg.

Since using the MyoCycle, Matthew noticed a shift, not just in his body, but in his self confidence too.

He shared: β€œAfter just one use, I had muscle in my left leg quad that I was able to flex that was not there before. I had no flexion whatsoever in my leg, it was completely asleep.”

Even on hard days, he says getting on his MyoCycle helps him make it through.

Thanks Matthew you for trusting us to be part of your journey πŸ™‚

Spasticity happens when damaged nerve pathways send signals too often or too fast.

That can cause muscles to tighten, twitch, or spasm without warning.

Here's three ways to help manage it:
1️⃣ Keep muscles warm to reduce stiffness
2️⃣ Use gentle stretching to ease tension
3️⃣ Move the muscles daily to help them relax

Lower-body movement matters. Even gentle leg movement can help with blood flow, support heart health, and ease stiffness. It does not need to be intense to be helpful πŸ‘

Friendly reminder πŸ™‚
Staying active doesn't always have to be hard on your body.

Gentle, steady movement can help your joints feel more comfortable and let your body build strength at your own pace.

So many people are told, directly or indirectly, to stop expecting much from their bodies after paralysis. That message sticks...

It can negatively impact how someone sees their body and what they believe is possible for their lives.

The truth is: Your body does not shut down just because movement looks different.

πŸ’ͺ Muscles can still respond
🩸 Circulation still matters
πŸ—“οΈ Staying active over time can support comfort, strength, and how you feel day to day

Your potential does not disappear.
It adapts, just like the body does.

Meet Rebecca! πŸ•πŸ•β€πŸ¦Ί
She is an SCI survivor who lives with her parents and two dogs. After a skiing accident, she sustained a spinal cord injury that left her paralyzed from the neck down.

Before the MyoCycle, staying active was difficult. She dealt with muscle atrophy, limited range of motion, and low blood pressure from poor circulation, which made daily life more challenging.

After adding the MyoCycle Home to her routine, Rebecca started to regain function. She shared, β€œThese improvements have helped my quality of life because I am able to sit upright more. I also have a better self-body image because of the decrease in muscle atrophy.”

Thanks Rebecca you for allowing us to be part of your journey! πŸ’›
