Today I have the honor of representing CDS at the annual Palatka Jingle Jam held by the Palatka Community Affairs Department. The event is from 3pm to 9pm and there will be a boat show and fireworks!

🎅 A very special visitor stopped by Joyce Bullock Elementary School this week! 🎅

Our CEO, Phil Kabler, traded in the business suit for a red suit and white beard, spreading holiday cheer as Santa Claus. Thank you to the school staff for welcoming us and helping make the day magical. Moments like these reflect the heart of CDS and our commitment to showing up for our community - sometimes in unexpected (and festive!) ways. 🎄🎁

As the 2026 Florida Legislative Session begins its organizational activities, CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services, Inc. was pleased to attend the recent Alachua County Delegation hearing at Santa Fe College. We were pleased to update our regional State Senators, Representatives, and their staffs on our recent accomplishments, plans, and goals for the upcoming year.
We greatly appreciate the longstanding partnership with our Legislative Delegation in support of the North Florida children, youth, families, and communities we serve together.

CDS is excited to celebrate our very first SNAP for Youth Justice graduation! Five youth have completed the program, building real-world coping and problem-solving skills through SNAP. Their commitment shows up in the way they’ve strengthened their decision-making, practiced new strategies (ask them what PASTE means!), and taken meaningful steps toward promising futures.

A heartfelt thank-you to our dedicated facilitators, case managers, volunteers, and our amazing Florida Department of Juvenile Justice partners - your support is what made this milestone possible.

As we are in the midst of the holidays, the Lake City Interface Youth Shelter is seeking the following items:

* Pots and pans
* A basketball goal
* 12 comforters for twin
size beds
* Six couches for the Day
Room
* Curtains
* Blinds
* Three sets (six total)
mattresses for twin
size bunk beds

If you can provide some of these items to help the youth resident at the Shelter, please contact the Shelter directly at (386) 487-0190.

2025 is CDS Family & Behavioral Health Services, Inc.’s 55th Anniversary Year of supporting the North Florida children, youth, families, and communities we serve.
This past November 13 our Board, Team, business partners, friends, and families recognized that Anniversary during the Annual Celebration.
Artist Glenn McInnes was presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award. And Author Mario Cartaya was the Keynote Speaker, introduced in a video by Board Member Elio Piedra.
Onward to many more years of work to benefit those our Team serves!
