NAYA (Narayana Ayurveda and Yoga Academy) is an online Yoga and Ayurveda school, offering distant learning, online and hybrid training programs for an affordable rate. We are regulated and approved by Texas Workforce Commission-career school and colleges. Many years ago, my profoundly gifted 7-year-old once learned the periodic table, and the teacher punished this effort by taking away the star points and being upset with. me -the parent. This is a public school in USA-compare to India where teacher would have rewarded. She told me, "I dont care about the periodic table and the fact your kid has memorized it, I care about my students learning time management and organization in school". This was a school in Escondido california. I immediately took my kid out and we went to a private school/and also tried homeschooling. From an Ayurvedic perspective Public School ecosystems do NOT make sense especially the schedule, the militant structure and homework that will make a grown man GROAN--but no, it is good for the kids. Our kids do not need to go to a FACTORY! It is not the schools fault--but the eco-system of test scores, and federal funding--and here's a podcast I did about why the public school schedules dont make sense and HOW to fix it!!

Our Story

NAYA (Narayana Ayurveda and Yoga Academy) is an Ayurveda school offering affordable Counselor and Practitioner certifications in Ayurvedic Medicine. The course is delivered via a mix of distance learning, online “live classes, and onsite workshops cm internship. We are regulated and approved by the Texas Workforce commission-career schools and colleges. Our school meets the NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association). Founders: Monica Groover, who has an Ayurveda Doctor level membership with NAMA, and, is a board member, and Pandit Atul Krishna, Sanskrit and Vedic Scholar, Jyotish Astrologer and Ayurveda Practitioner.

Our fantastic teachers include two vaidyas (traditional ayurvedic doctors) from India, Dr Janardhana Hebar (easyayurveda.com), Dr Priyanka Rajan, an integrated physician from California-Dr Aparna Dandekar, and, Dr Monika Singhal from San Diego, CA.

Both Ms Groover and Pt. Atul teach at the college as well.

Our seminars are very affordable, flexible, and have lots of homework!!
