We are so proud of Asbury Methodist Village residents Gary Temple and Mary Ellen Bliss for their recent participation in a special pre-concert performance at Strathmore!

Gary and Mary Ellen joined talented musicians Yoshi Horiguchi and Kimia Hesabi for a beautiful 15-minute performance in the Strathmore Lobby ahead of the National Philharmonic concert, French Masters: Ravel, Debussy, and Tailleferre. What an incredible opportunity to showcase their talent and represent our community so wonderfully.

A heartfelt thank you to the National Philharmonic, through the Iris Music Project, for inviting our residents to be part of such a meaningful and inspiring experience. Thank you also to Kimia and Yoshi for their collaboration and support in working with the residents on this performance.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity and proud of how Asbury Methodist Village residents continue to shine both on and off campus.

💃🏾🕺🏻February’s Wellness Wednesday at Asbury Methodist Village was a joyful celebration of Asbury’s 100-year legacy. Residents celebrated through movement, music, shared memories, and dancing through the decades! 💃🏾🕺🏻

From the Charleston and Swing to the Twist, Disco, the Stroll (yes, the original!), and today’s line dances, residents in their late 70s through 90s filled the room with energy, confidence, and pure joy.

What made the day unforgettable wasn’t just the choreography; it was the connection. Music sparked memories. Movement sparked laughter. Community sparked life.

At Asbury, wellness goes beyond the gym. It’s about honoring stories, celebrating legacy, and creating vibrant experiences that keep the beat going at every age.

Music, Memories, and a Beautiful Homecoming Concert at Asbury!

The Rosborough Theater was filled with melody and magic as the Iris Music Project, in collaboration with OnStage at Asbury and the National Philharmonic at Strathmore, brought their Homecoming Concert to Asbury Methodist Village!

Talented musicians Yoshi Horiguchi (bass), Kimia Hesabi (viola), Amyr Joyner (violin), and Liz Hill (piano) performed both group and individual pieces, including works by William Grant Still, Johann Sebastian Bach, Robert Schumann, and others.

This Saturday, Yoshi and Liz are joining forces with our very own AMV residents for an unforgettable afternoon of music. Together, they will perform beloved selections from The Music Man, Guys and Dolls, Show Boat, The Fantasticks, and more.

From toe-tapping rhythms to nostalgic melodies that will bring back cherished memories.

There’s something special about live music. It connects generations, sparks stories, and reminds us that the arts are alive and thriving right here at AMV.

Today, we pause to reflect on the leadership, history, and enduring ideals that have shaped our nation. Originally established to honor George Washington’s birthday, this day has expanded to recognize the contributions of all U.S. presidents throughout history.

At Asbury Methodist Village, we are grateful for the freedoms, opportunities, and spirit of service that unite us as a community. It’s a wonderful day to enjoy time with neighbors or revisit a favorite historical story.

🎉 Grand Opening Celebration! 🎉

We’re excited to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the new Outpatient Rehab space in the Rosborough Building at Asbury Methodist Village!

This new location brings our therapy and wellbeing teams together under one roof, enhancing collaboration, communication, and continuity of care. By working side by side, our clinicians are better able to support strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and cognitive function, while ensuring smoother transitions and timely referrals.

The result? A more connected rehab experience that leads to better outcomes, faster progress, and the highest level of care for our residents. We’re proud of this next step forward and can’t wait to welcome you into the new space!

🎉 Celebrating 100 Years of History! 🎉

We’re proud to share that we just had a soft opening of the Asbury Methodist Village History Museum, a beautiful tribute to a century of memories, milestones, and community.

Created by resident Hal Gaut, with the help of many dedicated resident volunteers, a community member, and supportive staff, the museum brings Asbury Methodist Village’s story to life, from its beginnings as a simple idea sparked by two visionary women to the vibrant community we know today.

Every detail was thoughtfully preserved, from treasured photographs to the use of original cabinets, which now showcase these images with care and authenticity. The result is a meaningful, immersive look at our shared history.

Thank you to everyone who made this incredible project possible, and here’s to honoring the past as we celebrate 100 years together! 💙✨

What a fantastic afternoon at Asbury! 🎶

Today we hosted our quarterly Resident-Led Acoustic Jam Session & Sing-Along, and more than 60 residents came out to enjoy the music, laughter, and community spirit.

A huge thank you to our talented band, the dedicated Asbury Methodist Village staff, and all the residents who helped make this event such a success. Moments like these are what make our community so special!

We’re proud to announce that we’ve been recognized as a SAGECare Platinum Credentialed Provider for 2025.

SAGECare, a training and consulting division of SAGE—the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit dedicated to advocating for LGBTQ+ older adults—provides LGBTQ+ cultural competency education to service providers nationwide.

This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful community where all are welcome and all belong.

Associates at Asbury Methodist Village kicked off the holiday season in the sweetest way possible. At the “Sweet Treats and Ugly Sweaters” associates' appreciation party!

From gooey brownies and spicy gingerbread to cozy cups of hot cider and hot chocolate, the treats were endless and absolutely delicious. 🍫☕🍪

And the fun didn’t stop there! Associates participated in festive games and friendly competitions and walked away with amazing prizes. The laughter was loud, and the holiday spirit was everywhere.

It was a joyful, heart-warming celebration, and the perfect way to honor our incredible associates and start the season with smiles. 💛🎉
