Dr. Mohsin S. Sheikh is excited to join the team at Pain & Spine Specialists of Maryland! Prior to joining PASS, Dr. Sheikh practiced in Gaithersburg for 12 years and was the founder and medical director of Pain, Spine & Rehab Associates.

Dr. Sheikh will be seeing patients at the new Rockville office opening in December 2025, located at 9707 Medical Center Drive, Suite #100. He will also be available for appointments at the Frederick and Mt. Airy locations beginning 11/17/2025.

Dear Beloved PSRA patient,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to inform you of some exciting news and a significant change coming to our medical practice. After careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to give up practice ownership of Pain, Spine & Rehab Associates (PSRA) effective October 31, 2024.

Beginning 11/1/2024, PSRA will merge with Elite Spine & Pain Center, helmed by Dr. Jason Litt. My team and I will continue to work with the Elite team, alongside my new partner, Dr. Litt, and will provide pain management treatments close by in a brand-new office located less than 10 minutes away from our current space. We understand the importance of continuity in healthcare and want to ensure a smooth transition for you to continue your care with us at this new, combined practice.

Please know that this decision has not been made lightly, and it is driven by a combination of personal and professional factors. I genuinely believe that relieving myself from the burdens of practice ownership will allow me to serve you better, while ensuring that my own physical and mental well-being remain a top priority. I am doing this for myself, my family, and my patients. I want to express my deepest appreciation for the relationships we have built over the years at PSRA. It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of your healthcare journey, and I am grateful for the trust and partnership we have shared.

It is my sincere hope that we can continue our partnership for many years to come under the Elite Spine & Pain team. My goal is to create a similar, stellar patient experience for you at my new practice as you have been accustomed to all these years at PSRA. Rest assured, your medical records will be securely maintained and will be available for upload to the Elite EMR system upon request. Please ask any of our team members for a medical records release form and return it to us at your earliest convenience to assist in this process. Experienced Medical Assistant Needed to Join an Amazing Care Team

We are Pain, Spine & Rehab Associates: a pain management medical office specializing in making people feel better. We are looking for someone who wants to work with our wonderful team and help people to the best of their ability. This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your customer service and "people skills" while making a difference in someone's quality of life.

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant

* Greeting patients, taking co-pays, answering phones

* Scheduling appointments

* Taking patient histories and messages, measure and record patient vitals when in-office

* Collect urine samples from patients

* Assist physician and PA with set-up and administration of in-office injections

Qualifications of the Medical Assistant

* Must be graduate of formal MA/CNA/patient care technician (PCT) program, new grads welcome to apply, we will train you

* Must be computer proficient and have excellent communication/customer service skills, and be able to help patients over the phone with their virtual visits (Telemedicine)

* Must be able to work in-office in Gaithersburg (MD) and Olney (MD) and be within reasonable commuting distance

* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
