We enjoyed our Friendsgiving special meal in the activity department recently! We have turkey and stuffing (with gravy) roll ups, green bean casserole, corn casserole, mashed potatoes and pumpkin cake bars! We began our activity with a prayer from one of our residents! We enjoyed spending time together, reminiscing and we are so thankful!

Scott from Beacon of Hope stopped by the Hawthorne Inn and played some music trivia. Residents enjoyed the event with even some dancing and singing!

National pickle day calls for taste testing different and watching the history of pickles! Plus we made cookies and sold them for our bake sale! The proceeds will go to our resident Christmas/activities fund. The residents have been busy today!

🌾💛 Prairie Land Senior Focus Group Giving Back! 💛🌾

We’re so proud to partner with several amazing local organizations through the Prairie Land Senior Focus Group! Together, we’ve collected non-perishable food donations to support the Jamieson Center and FISH of Galesburg. 🥫✨

It was a beautiful day celebrating our veterans! 🇺🇸 Also thanks to the VFW & Fred Foster for speaking to them. We came together to honor their service, share stories, and express our deepest gratitude.

We had a SPOOKTACULAR week here at Seminary! We passed out candy to local ghosts and goblins, played Halloween music, Halloween trivia, and some fun Halloween games!
Staff enjoyed our caramel apple bar, and residents gathered for our Hocus Pocus party where we enjoyed creepy spider cookies, hocus pocus punch, a game of eyeball toss, and pumpkin bowling! We even gave trophies to the best costumes!! What fun!

Hawthorne Inn had a full day of Halloween activities! We had a group of Kindergartner through 4th grade recite Halloween poems and sing songs for our residents. We finished the day with a Resident Halloween party filled with delicious treats made by LaTonya! Also a big thank you to all our residents and family members for their generous support donating candy for our Trick or Treat event!
