🏥 About the Role

As an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you’ll work closely with pharmacists to prepare and distribute medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounds, chemotherapy, and other specialized treatments. You’ll also manage inventory, stock automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis), and ensure compliance with regulatory standards—all while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Current CPhT certification and Ohio registration preferred, but not required. Registered Pharmacy technicians are welcome to apply. Avita provides an in house Pharmacy Technician Training Program to enable registered technicians to complete the necessary training to become certified.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Please join us in celebrating Ashlee Ratliff, Heather Auck, and Tara Roosa for their incredible teamwork and dedication during a recent emergency.

When EMS contacted Bucyrus ER about two victims of carbon monoxide poisoning, Ashlee and Heather sprang into action—confirming hyperbaric chamber availability, obtaining treatment protocols, and securing approvals for life-saving therapy. Their persistence ensured that the patient received hyperbaric treatment immediately upon arrival, a decision OSU later said likely saved the patient’s life.
Tara Roosa, our Hyperbaric Technician, played a critical role by preparing the chamber and equipment and administering the treatment with continuous care and coordination.

Their quick thinking, collaboration, and commitment to patient safety exemplify the very best of Avita Health System. Thank you, Ashlee, Heather, and Tara, for going above and beyond! 💙
