Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year! 🎉

Our office will be closing at 12:00 PM on New Year’s Eve and will be closed all day on New Year’s Day. We will reopen on Friday, January 2nd at 8:00 AM.

While our office is closed, our nurses are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to continue providing compassionate care.

As a new year begins, it can bring a mix of emotions — hope, uncertainty, and for many, deep grief. While the world may feel ready to move forward, grief doesn’t follow a calendar or a timeline. If you’re entering this new year carrying the loss of someone you love, please know that whatever you’re feeling is valid.
It’s okay if this year doesn’t start with excitement or big goals. It’s okay if simply getting through each day feels like enough. Grief can look different for everyone, and there is no “right” way to walk this journey. Be gentle with yourself and allow space for both sorrow and healing, whenever they come.

As we step into the year ahead, we want you to know you are not alone. Whether your loss is recent or years past, support, compassion, and understanding are always here for you. Take this year one moment, one breath, one step at a time. 🤍

This has become a tradition our team truly looks forward to each year, and it’s such a blessing to be able to give back together. We love bringing some happiness to others during difficult times.

We had the sweetest surprise today from Hallie Tomecko, her softball group Ohio Lasers 2032 Leigh has been collecting blankets as their service project to honor the memory of Bentley Spurlock. 💙

They are being taught that “It’s always more than just softball,” and what a beautiful lesson that is.

Thank you to Hallie and her softball team for the blankets and thinking of our patients.

Bentley’s family started a nonprofit dedicated to collecting and donating blankets to those in need of being wrapped in a hug- Bentley’s Blankies.These blankets will be given to our hospice patients, bringing comfort when it’s needed most.

The holidays are often portrayed as a joyful time, but for many, they can bring deep feelings of grief, loss, and loneliness. Empty chairs, quiet moments, and cherished memories can make the season feel especially heavy. Traditions may feel different, emotions may come in waves, and some days may be harder than others.
If you’re missing someone, feeling overwhelmed, or simply not in the holiday spirit, please know this: it’s okay to feel that way. There is no timeline for grief and no “right” way to experience the holidays. Your grief is a reflection of love, and your feelings matter.
Honor your emotions, take things one moment at a time, and be gentle with yourself. You are not alone. 💙

Not only did the kids make adorable cards for the Grinch, but many also made Christmas cards for our patients to help spread some holiday cheer. Such a simple act with such a big impact.
