Congratulations Brad Schwartz, RPh, BCPS, Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager from Avita Health System on his 2026 OHA Health Care Worker of the Year nomination!

Brad Schwartz has dedicated 12 years of his pharmacy career to Avita Health System, where he currently serves as Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager. In this role, Brad oversees both inpatient and ambulatory pharmacy practice, ensuring pharmacists are not only dispensing medications but serving as vital members of the care team. On the inpatient side, Brad collaborated with cardiologists to embed pharmacists into the STEMI response team, providing bedside medication management during critical emergencies. He pioneered pharmacogenomic consults for STEMI patients, tailoring therapies to individual metabolism, a service now adopted system-wide. Recognizing the unique needs of pharmacists in code response, Brad became an ACLS instructor and developed pharmacist-focused critical care training.
