Birth will change you forever.
Your journey may not look like anyone else’s. Sometimes it takes more work, sometimes it’s longer, sometimes you carry grief or trauma with you. Other times you walk in feeling clear, centered, and ready. No matter how it unfolds, there is always something in birth to work through. And there is always a moment where you must surrender, fully and completely, to the process.
Birth strips us to our most vulnerable selves. It takes so much from us, yet gives back tenfold in return. Because it isn’t just about bringing your baby earthside. It is about your transformation, too. A walk along the veil, brushing the line between life and death, where you emerge forever changed. You won’t be the same again and that’s okay. The journey shifts you spiritually, mentally, and even on a cellular level.
As a midwife, this is something I remind families often: birth is beautiful, raw, and sacred. It’s messy and transformative. It requires courage and trust as you go on the journey to bring your baby back with you. And when you return with your baby in your arms, you’ll carry both the weight of what it took and the gift of who you’ve become.🌙✨
