Augustin Charles Villalobos

Augustin Charles Villalobos, affectionately known as Augie, departed from this world on Monday, November 3, 2025, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Born September 21, 1980, in Corpus Christi, Texas, he was the son of Mary Ann Villalobos and the late Agustin Villalobos. Augie’s journey through life was marked by a deep love for his family, and a passion for engineering.

From an early age, Augie was captivated by the world of steel structural engineering, inspired by his childhood hero, Ron Guzman. This passion fueled his career at Kirby Building Systems, where he made his childhood dream a reality. Augie’s determination and dedication to his work were evident, and he took pride in contributing to the creation of steel frameworks that would stand the test of time.

Educationally, Augie began his collegiate journey at Texas A&M University but was deeply impacted by the traumatic events surrounding the 1999 bonfire collapse. This experience ultimately led him to continue his studies at Texas A&M Kingsville. Augie's aspiration to become a steel structural civil engineer was a testament to his unwavering commitment to his goals despite life’s challenges.

Growing up in Corpus Christi, Augie was surrounded by a loving environment that fostered close-knit friendships and familial bonds. He held a significant affection for the Guzman family, particularly his Tia Ofelia, Tio Jesse, and their children, Ron and Liz. This connection stayed with him throughout his life.

Outside of his professional ambitions, Augie embraced a variety of interests that brought joy to his life. A devoted fan of Star Wars, music, and Texas A&M athletics, he displayed a spirited enthusiasm for the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, he treasured moments spent with his family, embodying a loving husband and father who relished quality time with his loved ones.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.

Augie is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Elizabeth Martin-Villalobos; his cherished daughter, Zipporah Ophelia “Zippy” Villalobos; and his devoted mother, Mary Ann Villalobos. He also leaves behind his father-in-law, Joey Martin; mother-in-law, Susie Martin; sister, Vanessa (Gabe) Casanova; brothers Emmanuel and Fernando Villalobos; lifelong friends who were like siblings to him Ron (Sylvia) Guzman and Liz (Arnold) Guzman Aguilar; sister-in-law, Sarah (Corey) Brown, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Each of these relationships contributed to the vibrant tapestry of his life, and they will carry his memory forward.

Visitation services will be held at Crestview Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation in Gallatin, Tennessee, on Thursday, November 6, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Friday, November 7, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Donny Martin will follow on Friday, November 7, at 1:00 PM.

Karen always had the heart of service; at the age of 17, she enlisted in the United States Army. Following her six and half years of military service, she continued to support Soldiers and families working for Army Community Services (ACS) for over 20 years. Wanda Helen Davis

May 22, 1933 – October 12, 2025

God saw she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be; so He put His arms around her, and whispered, “Come with me.”

With tearful eyes we watched her, and saw her fade away; Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best!

Wanda Davis, age 92, of Hendersonville, peacefully departed on Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was born on May 22, 1933, in Vardaman, Mississippi. However, Memphis, Tennessee, was her true home. Kathleen Gillett Lamport

November 4, 1932 - October 8, 2025

Kathleen Lamport, lovingly referred to as “Kaki” passed away on October 8, 2025, in Westmoreland, Tennessee. She was 92.

Kathleen and her husband, Liston “Buddie” Lamport, relocated from Southaven Mississippi to Sumner County after her retirement in 1993. The original plan was to be near her daughter Pam’s family; however, they soon embraced the community and enjoyed many years with friends and family.

Kathleen was born on November 4, 1932, in Louisville, Mississippi to M.L. Gillett and Mazie Moore Gillett. The family later moved to Bigbee Valley, MS and she graduated in 1950 at nearby Brooksville High School, Brooksville, MS. After graduation, Kathleen moved to Memphis to attend and train at Draughn’s Business School. She would meet her future husband Buddie, and they would elope in December of 1950. They enjoyed a near 71- year marriage until his death in July of 2021.

Kathleen retired from banking in Memphis after 33 years as Branch Manager at South Gate Union Planters. She was “forced” to retire from her second career- with NAPS at First United Methodist Church in the “Baby Room” to keep her great grandchildren.

Kathleen was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee. She and Buddie later attended Long Hollow Gallatin Campus with Pam and her family. In more recent years she attended Strong Tower Church in Westmoreland when her health allowed it.

Besides her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband Liston “Buddie” Lamport, and grandson, Peter Williams.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Larry Williams, grandson, Drew (Kimberly) Williams and granddaughter, Haley (Dustin) Bandy, great-grandchildren, Emmy Grace Williams, Whitt Williams, Jordan (Logan) Abell, Josie Bandy, Jax Bandy, Crew Bandy and Coen Bandy and sister, Barbara (Jimmy) Bell.

The family wants to thank Stephanie Urell, Tamara Parrish and staff at Right Care in Gallatin as well as Aveanna Hospice. If desired, donations can be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her memory- or a church/ organization of your choice.

Her children arise and call her blessed. Proverbs 31:28

Así que envío este mensaje especial al cielo de arriba.

Por favor, cuida de mi ángel y envíale todo mi amor.

Our Little Angel

There is a special angel in heaven who is a part of me.

It's not where I wanted it, but where God wanted it to be.

It was here, but only for a moment as a night shooting star.

And although it is in heaven, it is not far away.

He touched the hearts of many as only an angel can.

So I send this special message to heaven above.

Please take care of my angel and send him all my love.
