Recovery Court of Sumner County A proven program to facilitate recovery for individuals with addictions to drugs and alcohol. The program makes offenders accountable for their actions.

The mission of the Recovery Court of Sumner County is to provide a proven program to facilitate recovery for individuals with addictions to drugs and alcohol. It brings about behavioral change through intensive supervision, treatment, and education that will reduce recidivism, and protect the public from the harmful effects which substance abuse has upon society. By reducing incarceration rates, enhancing community safety and breaking the cycle of addiction, which leads to criminal behavior, Recovery Court will be an effective and responsible use of public and private funds and energies for the public good.

Update: The early bird special will back on for most of the day this Friday, September 26, from 5a-11:59p. While this will reduce the 5k portion, the price of the 1-mile fun run is the same no matter when a person registers. The Sumner County Health Committee is proud to announce the return of the annual Walk Across Sumner 5k and Fun Run! This year we are hosting the run in the evening and are going to use glow sticks and blacklights to light up the night and bring more fun to our annual event.
