Earlier this month we had the privilege of coming together as one team for the Sumner County EMS Dinner and Awards Banquet. An evening set aside to pause, reflect, and recognize the people who make this service what it is.
In a profession that rarely slows down, this banquet means more than just a meal or an award. It is a moment to step away from the radios, the calls, and the controlled chaos, and to gather as coworkers, friends, and family. It is a reminder that behind every unit number is a person who has chosen to serve this community with professionalism, compassion, and sacrifice.
We proudly recognized Years of Service milestones, Educational Achievments and Liscensure Upgrades.
5 Years of Service - Stephanie Binion, Deputy Chief Russell Houske, Noah Stinson and Alex Smith
10 Years of Service - Capt. Ty Garrott
30 Years of Service - Assistant Chief Jay Austin

Each of these awards represents far more than a single call or moment. They reflect teamwork, calm under pressure, selflessness, and the unwavering dedication our crews show every single shift.
To those recognized, congratulations. Your hard work, professionalism, and heart for this job do not go unnoticed. You set the standard for what it means to serve Sumner County with pride.
We would also like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to our surrounding agencies who stepped in and covered 911 calls during the banquet. Because of your support and partnership, our crews were able to attend, be recognized, and celebrate together. That kind of cooperation speaks volumes about the strength of public safety in our region.
This night was about honoring the past, celebrating the present, and looking forward to the future of Sumner County EMS. We are proud of this team, grateful for this community, and honored to serve alongside each and every one of you. 💙🚑
