At Holzer, social workers are committed to patients from the point of admission and throughout their inpatient stay, home health, hospice, and beyond. They assist patients and families in obtaining the care and resources they need while addressing physical and psychosocial challenges that may impact recovery.

Holzer would like to recognize our Licensed Athletic Trainers to celebrate National NATA month. Holzer Athletic Trainers provide care you can count on. Athletic Trainers are highly trained healthcare providers who have a vital role in the care of athletes, prevention of injury and rehabilitation. Athletic Trainers improve safety and not just on the sidelines. They also work in the clinical setting helping injured workers get stronger and return to work safely. They collaborate with physicians to provide the best care for all patients.

Holzer provides sports medicine services for Jackson High School, Oak Hill High school, The University of Rio Grande, Gallia Academy High School, River Valley High School, South Gallia High School, Ohio Valley Christian School, Alexander High School, Federal Hocking High School, Meigs High School and The Root Sports and Fitness Center.

Dr. Kelly Roush, Director of Sports Medicine states “This month, we celebrate our Athletic Trainers and thank them for the skill and compassion that they provide to all of our local athletes”.

Established by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, this week highlights the benefits of pulmonary rehabilitation programs and the positive impact they have on patients living with chronic lung conditions.
