Shine Bright Literacy Night

Our Shine Bright Literacy Night was filled with creativity, crafts, and lots of glowing smiles! Students kicked off the fun during the school day, and the excitement continued into the evening as families joined us for hands-on activities and time together.

It was so special to see our students and their families creating and exploring throughout the night. We love seeing our students learning, creating, and having fun together. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the evening such a bright and memorable one!

In honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, we are proud to introduce the dedicated professionals who support our youngest learners and their families through Early Intervention services in Gallia County.

Our team serves children birth to age three and partners with families to support development through everyday routines, play and meaningful activities.

Your Gallia County Early Intervention team (left to right):
Angie Collins- Developmental Specialist
Bailey Edwards- Developmental Specialist
Heather Cundiff- Speech Therapist
Britt Higginbotham- Early Intervention Director
Megan Comer- Early Intervention Service Coordinator
Haley Dombrow- Physical Therapist

Early Intervention focuses on building skills in communication, movement, social-emotional development, learning and daily routines, all while empowering families as their child's first and most important teachers.

If you have concerns about a child's development or would like more information about services for children under three, we are here to help!

Together, we are building strong foundations for Gallia County's children and families. 💙

We would love for you to share stories of your own family's experience with EI in the comments!

💙Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month💙

March 2026 marks DD Awareness Month, and we were proud to kick it off with an official proclamation by the Gallia County Commissioners on February 26, 2026.

The proclamation was supported by a strong showing of individuals with lived experience, families, providers, and county board staff, all coming together to recognize inclusion, advocacy, and the value of community.

Following the proclamation, everyone gathered for lunch at Gallia County Board of Developmental Disabilities, continuing the conversation and connection.

Thank you to the Gallia County Commissioners for your continued support and commitment to the DD community. Your partnership matters.
