Sometimes growth is not about adding more, it’s about letting go.

Let go of the things you can’t control, the pressure to be perfect, comparing yourself to others, and the thoughts that keep you stuck in the past. Holding onto these things will only hinder your personal growth.

Give yourself permission to release the things that no longer serve you, and make space for progress, peace, and new opportunities.

POV: You almost lost it… but self-control said not today. 😅

Therapists talk a lot about emotional regulation and self-control, but let’s be honest… we’re practicing it right along with everyone else in real life.

Sometimes self-control looks like:• Not sending the text• Not reacting in the moment• Taking a breath instead of escalating• Walking away when you really want the last word

It may not feel glamorous, but those small moments of restraint are actually huge wins for your mental health.
So if today you practiced self-control instead of reacting… congratulations! You prevented a crime too. 😉

Spring is a natural time to pause, reflect, and reset.
These questions are meant to help you slow down, notice what’s been weighing on you, and reconnect with what actually matters in this season of your life.

Take a moment to reflect on the questions that resonate most. Journal about them, sit with them, or come back to this post when you need a mental reset.

Growth does not have to be dramatic to be meaningful. Sometimes growth starts with a simple question.

There’s so much pressure in life to focus on what we haven’t done yet. But today, pause for a moment and look at what you have done and who you have become.

Celebrate your growth — even the quiet, behind-the-scenes kind.
Celebrate your strength — the days you kept going when it was hard.
Celebrate your mindset — the way you keep choosing hope and healing.
Celebrate your personality — the things that make you you.
Celebrate your hobbies, passions, and talents — the parts of you that bring life color.

You don’t need a big milestone or someone else’s approval to recognize your worth. The good in you is already there and it’s absolutely worth celebrating.

✨ What is one thing about yourself you can celebrate today?

They just have to be honest to you.

Happy International Women’s Day 🌸

Today I celebrate every woman who refuses to give up.
As a therapist and practice owner, I’ve witnessed the strength, resilience, and courage that women carry every single day. The courage to heal. The courage to grow. The courage to keep going even when things feel heavy.

Women are builders.
We build families.
We build communities.
We build businesses.
We build healing.
We build new futures.
And when women support and uplift one another, incredible things happen.

Here’s to the women doing the work, breaking cycles, and creating new legacies.

Follow this page for more conversations about mental health, growth, and empowerment for women.

Growth does not always look loud or dramatic. Sometimes it looks like showing up when it’s hard, trying again, or speaking to yourself with kindness.

Let these words sit with you, and save them for later so you can come back when you need them. Small shifts in your thinking can create meaningful change in the way you feel and ultimately, the way you live.

At some point you realize… the old version of you can’t come where you’re going.
Growth isn’t always about adding more.
Sometimes it’s about letting go.
Letting go of old identities.
Old limits.
Old beliefs about who you thought you were.
The woman I’m becoming required the death of who I was.
And the most beautiful part?
She was always there… waiting.

Our minds are quick to jump to the worst case scenarios: What if I fail? What if
something goes wrong? What if I’m not good enough?
But the same “what if” question can also open the door to something hopeful and
positive: What if things work out? What if you’re more capable than you think?
What if this moment leads to growth you didn’t expect?
Sometimes shifting the direction of your “what if” thoughts can create space for
possibility instead of fear.

Not minimizing the trauma. Not glamorizing the pain.
Just honoring the strength that came from surviving it.
The hyper-independence, the awareness, the problem-solving, they were survival skills once.
Now they’re leadership skills.
If you’re still healing, I see you.
You’re not broken. You’re becoming.
With love, may you rise and use your story to remind someone else that they can too. 🤍
