Meyer, Martin, R, 92, of Galloway, NJ, passed away September 1, 2023. Born in Minotola (Buena), NJ. He grew up in Minotola and lived in Absecon, NJ, before moving to Galloway, NJ in 2017. He worked for the Atlantic City Electric Company for 38 years, retiring as Corporate Secretary in 1986. He was a veteran with the United States Marine Corps serving during the Korean War. In his free time, he enjoyed golf and dancing with his wife.

Martin is predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Meyer; sister, Pauline Hand; and brother, John Meyer. He is survived by his wife: Patricia (Shea) Meyer to whom he was married for 71 years; and sister, Marie Meyer; devoted father of Martin Meyer Jr and his wife Adrienne, of Hopedale, Ma; Karen Sheeran and her husband, Patrick, of Absecon, NJ; his 4 grandchildren, Martin Meyer III, Andrew Meyer, Patrick Sheeran, Jr. and Daniel Sheeran and his wife, Kate; and 3 great-grandchildren.

TEDDY W. RUSH JR. USAF - LAST SALUTE 9-8-23. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. REST IN PEACE WARRIOR............Teddy W. Rush Jr. “Ted” passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31st, 2023 with his family by his side. Ted was born to Teddy W. Rush Sr. & Mildred M. Rush in Bucyrus, Ohio in 1948. He grew up in Ventnor NJ, graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1968. While in high school he supported mission efforts in Peru. He served 4 years in the Air Force stationed at Pope Air Force Base, Fayetteville, NC. Then served 4 years in the Air National Guard 177th Fighter Wing. He honorably and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life of 53 years (June) in Ventnor NJ. He worked for 23 years at South Jersey Gas as a meter reader and then moved to service. He played football in high School and was an avid Bowler for many years. He loved his Phillies and Eagles games. Ted loved to travel and enjoy his time at Walt Disney World with his family. His greatest joy in life was being “Poppy” to his grandchildren and great grandson. He assisted in establishing the Pleasant Woods soccer program in Egg Harbor Township. He coached youth baseball/softball at Pleasant Woods, as well as umpired many youth and adult softball games. He coached Egg Harbor Township girls softball travel team and won the Atlantic County championship.
He is predeceased by his parents Teddy W. Rush Sr. and Mildred M. Rush (Hempel,Funk). He is survived by his sister Gina Griego (Bill), his wife of 53 years June (Cobb), his 3 children, Teddy (Beth) Rush, Sherri (Pete) Ramos and Thomas (Mecca) Rush, his 4 grandchildren who were the apple of his eyes, Alisha (Josh) McArdle, Alex Vasu, Brandon and Adam Rush and 1 great grandson Sammy McArdle who brought many smiles to his face. Ted was loved by many of his extended family members in Ohio.
Ted was a fighter till the end. He was tremendously loved by his family and he will be missed dearly. As Ted would say “I’m not sleeping, I’m just resting my eyes”..........

MICHAEL E. SMITH U.S. NAVY - LAST SALUTE 9-8-23. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. REST IN PEACE WARRIOR...........Michael E. Smith - Michael E. Smith, 79, a 47-year resident of the Weymouth section of Hamilton Township, passed away on Friday, September 1 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born and raised in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.

The United States Navy veteran was stationed at Barber’s Point in Hawaii and at Liberty Station in San Diego as an aviation electrician. He then spent 30 years as an electrician with the Delaware River Port Authority and was also employed by the Port Authority Transit Corporation. He also took studies at Rutgers University.

Michael was an avid reader and loved his home, his kids and his sweet dog Roxy. He was a strong Christian and member of Victory Bible Church. The true patriot was a former member of Liberty and Prosperity and the John Birch Society and also served on the Hamilton Township Republican County Committee. He truly loved God and his Country! He was also a long-time member of Parents Without Partners.

He was predeceased by his children Michael Garrett and Vincent, mother Mary Holowich-Smith and his sister, Catherine Smith. He is survived by his children Christopher M. Smith Sr. (Sam), Jeffrey M. Smith and Melissa Maria Smith and grandchildren Tyler Smith, Christopher M. Smith, Jr. and Leighanna N. Smith. He is also survived by his sister Anne Frank (Fred) of Philadelphia..........
