Our first and only class of residents are leaving our beautiful community. They brought our patients compassionate, competent care, and our hospital staff were honored to work beside them. Each resident brought with them a level of expertise and diversity, and we are forever grateful for their time in our beautiful community.

To our residents: thank you for trusting us with your training. While it isn't ending as we all hoped and worked for, we could not have asked for a better class of residents. We are proud of you for everything you accomplished in our time together and look forward to watching you spread your wings at your new amazing residency homes. You embody everything our program was and could have been.

We are humbled and grateful,
Gallup FMRP faculty and staff

Meet our faculty!

Dr. Neil Jackson
Family Medicine Faculty

Neil C. Jackson, MD is a full-spectrum family physician who currently works at RMCH as a primary care doctor at College Clinic, as a Hospitalist in the ICU and Med/Surg floors, and as a fellowship-trained Obstetrics and Women's Health provider at Red Rock Clinic and on the Women's Health Unit. He is the currently a Core Faculty Member of the RMCH FMRP.
Dr. Jackson is originally from Pittsburgh and very proud of his hometown. He attended the Schreyer Honors College at Pennsylvania State University and majored in History and Philosophy with a concentration in Music/saxophone and Pre-medicine. After graduation, he earned a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship in Malaysia where he lived for a year teaching at a rural Muslim boarding school. He then moved to rural Nicaragua where he and a group of friends started a permaculture commune. After these influential international experiences, Dr. Jackson attended medical school at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island where he completed a scholarly concentration in Global Health. Following a passion for Global Health, full spectrum family medicine, and caring for the underserved, Dr. Jackson attended residency at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) in Martinez, California. During residency, he again concentrated in Global Health, spending a month working at a remote health center in the Peruvian Amazon and another month working at a District Hospital in Nkhoma, Malawi. Following many friends and colleagues whose passion for full-spectrum family medicine and caring for the underserved brought them to the Southwest, Dr. Jackson signed on at RMCH in August, 2019 and has remained committed to a full-spectrum practice spanning the primary care and women's health clinics, Labor and Delivery, and inpatient hospital medicine including ICU care.
In his free time, Dr. Jackson is an avid gardener, visual artist, and musician. He seeks to lead a contemplative life that embodies community service and social justice.

Meet the residents!

Dr. Tenzin Yangchen
UNM School of Medicine

I was born in a Tibetan refugee settlement in Bhandara, India. At the age of 13, my family immigrated to the U.S. under the Tibetan resettlement project. I graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During my undergrad years, I realized my love for Medicine. Before attending Medical School, I worked at Christus St Vincent Laboratory as a Lab Tech for three years. Although I enjoyed working at the lab, my passion for medicine never left me. I then pursued my medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. My experiences as a medical student made me realize that Family Medicine was my calling. I enjoy being able to practice broad-spectrum medicine. When not working I enjoy traveling, hiking, listening to music from different cultures, watching movies, and cooking. New Mexico has been a second home to me and I am thrilled to join RMCHCS Family Medicine Residency.

Welcome to RMCH FMRP Dr Yangchen!

Meet our residents!

Dr. Yuliya Tsebriy
Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine

My name is Yuliya Tsebriy, and I am from Trenton, NJ. I was born and raised in a beautiful mountainous part of Ukraine, where I have received my BA and MA in International Relations and Political Science. I speak English, Ukrainian, Russian, and a little bit of Polish languages. Once I moved to the USA in 2009, I wanted to continue my education here and broaden the spectrum of the subjects I was studying. That is when I learned that science was my true passion. I received my Associate Degrees in Biology and Chemistry from MCCC. I decided to become a physician after I had some experience in the medical field. I understood that I wanted to work with people and could use my passion for learning to have a meaningful purpose in life and be helpful to other people. I decided to attend Burrell COM because I liked the school’s atmosphere and mission. Having grown up in a small village in Ukraine myself, I was interested in helping underserved communities. Becoming a Family Medicine physician seemed to be the best way to do that. I am honored to be a 1st-year family medicine resident at RMCHCS and to have joined their friendly and supportive family of medical professionals.

Welcome to RMCH FMRP Dr. Tsebriy!

Our amazing and wonderful program director Dr. Valory Wangler was awarded "Physician of the Year" from The Society of Hospital Medicine (New Mexico Chapter). Dr. Wangler has dedicated her career to bringing quality family medicine to rural areas such as ours. Her leadership in the creation and ongoing journey of our residency program has been the driving force behind not only recruiting quality physicians, but residents who are ready to take care of a community that is beautifully diverse. On behalf of all of us, we congratulate Dr. Wangler on her recognition. Thank you for your continued leadership to us all!

Meet our Residents!

Dr. Adam Bray
WesternU College of Osteopathic Medicine

Adam received his undergraduate degree in art from the Maryland Institute College of Art and worked as a professional artist for over a decade in movies and video games, working for companies such as Marvel, Universal Pictures, Games Workshop, Wizards of the Coast, and Blizzard Entertainment.

Despite this, Adam always had a deep appreciation for science and medicine, and eventually decided to make a career change into medicine where he could use his skills to directly help others. Adam went to medical school at Western University COMP in SoCal and did a pre-residency fellowship in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at UNM Hospital in NM for one year after graduation which allowed him to work on the front lines of the COVID pandemic.

In his free time, Adam loves all things art and music, working out, animals, hiking and exploring, reading, and movies.
