HSD received $5.3 million from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, & Economic Security Act (CARES Act). A one-time $300 payment will be provided to utility vendors for households that received a Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) payment and are at least one month behind in their utility payments. Second Wave of COVID-19 Infections on the Navajo Nation

COVID-19 positive tests continue to rise and clusters continue to emerge throughout the Navajo Nation and has resulted uncontrolled spread in 29 communities on the Navajo Nation.

Cluster cases are a direct result of family gatherings and off-Reservation travel and have resulted in an uncontrolled spread.

Letโ€™s continue to fight COVID-19 on the . Our work is not done. Stopping the spread of COVID-19 requires all of us to stay vigilant.

Join the fight! Use these tips to help and

* Wear a mask
* Stay at home
* Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
* Clean and disinfect commonly used surfaces daily
* Avoid large gatherings with people you do not live with
* Avoid having visitors
* Avoid traveling off the Navajo Nation

Starting today we are teaming up with and for an ๐ŸšจEmergency Food and Donation Supply Drive ๐Ÿšจto benefit those who are elderly and/or disabled. We need your help! If you are able and well, please consider gathering supplies, you can drop them off Monday-Friday at the South Valley Multi- Purpose Center (2008 Larrazolo RD SW), between 8am-5pm from today, March 23 through April 3rd.
