Towns Health Services is seeking Alcohol and Drug Counselors and encourage CADC-II, CADC-III, LAADC, LAADC-S to apply. Were seeking top talent to join our team. We are looking for counselors seeking a position in a residential treatment facility and open to working cross coverage at our outpatient.

Medical/Dental/Vision package offered. Must be registered alcohol and drug counselor to apply. Our outpatient program is accredited by the Joint Commission.

Any past work experience working in an accredited program, bilingual, supervisory/management experience are encouraged to apply.

Must be flexible and able to pass background and drug screening. Our opening date is scheduled for Nov 1st and we are seeking lead counselors to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

Accomplishes clients' care by assessing treatment needs; developing, monitoring, and evaluating treatment plans and progress; facilitating interdisciplinary approaches; monitoring staff performance as part of our performance improvement team and responsible for chart reviews. Maintain ongoing communication about our services to agencies that refer to our program and positive effective relationships with clients.

AOD Counselor position will include but not limited to:

* Group Facilitation/Counseling

* Recovery Education

* Individualized and Family Sessions

* Assessments Biopsychosocial (ASAM)

* Treatment Planning

* Intake

* Discharge

* Case Management

* Activities/Field Trips

* Audit assigned client files to ensure that progress notes reflect issues identified in the treatment plan

* Resolve daily client issues as they present themselves

* Works with participants that are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems by motivating behavioral changes among enrolled participants

* Completes all required documentation and case notes as requested; and response to regulatory agencies in accordance with federal, state, and county

*Assistance with the administration as needed

Required Experience and or Knowledge:

* Minimum of 2-year experience as a registered/certified AOD counselor

* Minimum 2 year Case Management experience

* Basic computer skills and ability to learn a new EHR system must be demonstrated

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office

* Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, 12 Steps, Alanon and AA

* Required license or certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor

* Valid California driver's license and have reliable transportation

* Must be able to work with people from various backgrounds

* Must present a negative TB upon 7 days of the first day of employment or 30 days prior.

* Must have an up-to-date CPR and First Aid training certification (Company will pay for training and test for employees upon hire)

Preferred qualifications:

* Must be flexible (willing to work at both locations as needed Galt (outpatient)/Herald(residential)) and live in surrounding areas

* Bilingual

* Experience in both inpatient residential and outpatient settings

* Knowledge of program planning/development (Residential, Outpatient)

* Experience with supporting the administrative staff with chart reviews desired

* Attention to detail and having the capacity to learn a new system that may be complex to users who are not computer savvy.

Required Education:

* Bachelors/Masters degree preferred

* Must have attended and completed a state-accredited and recognized institute.

* Must be a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor
