✔️ Expanded surveillance to spot emerging health threats and unsafe products
✔️ Emergency response support in partnership with government and community organizations
✔️ Case management and guidance beyond traditional toxicology, including some veterinary advice

🌿⚠️ Be Careful Around Plants with Oxalate Crystals
Some common houseplants and outdoor plants contain oxalate crystals, which can cause pain, swelling, and irritation if chewed or touched—especially for young children and pets.

✔️ Keep plants out of reach of kids and pets
✔️ Teach children not to chew on leaves or stems
✔️ Wear gloves when handling or trimming plants
✔️ Wash hands after gardening or plant care

If someone puts part of a plant in their mouth or has irritation after contact, don’t wait.
