We made the decision to start virtual sessions with out clients. We are just wanting everyone out there to be safe and healthy. Let's hope this craziness ends soon.

To our music therapy clients and community: We are still doing sessions! While we are taking extra precautions with hand and instrument sanitizing, we are not planning to slow or discontinue our therapy sessions in any way. The CDC and WHO both have stated that groups of 10 or less, coupled with good sanitizing practices and safe social distances are significant enough precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy. We look forward to being able to meet the therapy needs of our clients during this difficult time.

Right now I'm working on a project and would love some help. I'm creating some songs that cue daily living skills meant more for adults. The music has a more mature sound rather than sounding like children's music. I've already created some (shaving cues, getting ready for the day cues, showering cues), but I want to create a whole album.

First questions, what ideas to do you have for songs. What daily living thing would you like to have a song about?

Second question, do you know of anyone who could help on the recording/production side? I'm not great a production. The goal is to put the songs on online platforms like Youtube, Spotify, etc.

Thanks for you help!

What is a sensory friendly concert and why would I want to go to one? Good question!! The idea behind a sensory friendly concert is that those who may have trouble enjoying a traditional concert...

Please share and help me get out the word. The sensory friendly concert that I am doing with Capital High School is happening on Saturday January 19th at 3:00 pm in the Capital High School auditorium.

The lights will be on, the volume down, but most importantly the environment will be accepting of anyone. Audience participation will be encouraged. We will have an instrument petting zoo in the lobby.

It is a fund raiser for the Capital High music program so there is a cost. The cost is $10 for a single ticket $15 for 2 people and $30 for a family.

Thank you so much for sharing.
