Accelacare Physical Therapy received the 2010 Kansas Small Business Development Center Emerging Business of the Year Award for Southwest Kansas. DID YOU KNOW: A doctor’s referral is no longer required to be treated by a physical therapist. We do Provide a Spanish Interpreter for your needs.*******

If simple remedies such as rest, medication or spinal adjustments have not alleviated your aches and pain, maybe there’s something more complicated going on. The cause of many aches and pains are often due to muscle imbalances that develop from poor posture or repetitive movements that are present in our everyday routines. Pain that is due to muscle imbalances usually requires specific retraining and often doesn’t respond as well to simple remedies that don’t address the cause of the problem. Let the movement experts at Accelacare Physical therapy determine the cause of your problem and help you find a long-term solution to your pain.

🍎🥫 No one should go hungry in Finney County! 🥕❤️

Earlier this year, our Local Health Equity Action Team (LHEAT) gave the Finney County Food Resource Guide a fresh update — and it’s ready to help connect our neighbors with local food pantries, school meals, and other food assistance programs!

📍 We’ve got a limited number of posters available for pick-up at the LiveWell Finney County office — perfect for schools, churches, workplaces, or anywhere people gather.

Let’s work together to make sure everyone in Finney County knows where to turn when they need a hand. 💪

👀 If you spot something that needs an update, let us know — community teamwork keeps this resource strong!

If that nagging pain in your elbow is making you worry that you won’t be able to enjoy the fall harvest in your garden, call Accelacare!

Tennis elbow is an overuse injury that most commonly shows up as stabbing pain on the outside of our elbows, particularly when we try to grip things. Our physical therapist can help us calm down the pain using a combination of activity modifications and hands-on treatments that can make sure the muscles and joints are moving properly. They will then give us specific exercises that can get our arm muscles stronger so that we can get back to doing all of our favorite activities pain-free.

Use physical therapy to make it through harvest pain free - Schedule an appointment online using the QR code below or give us a call at 620-271-0700 to get on the calendar!

If your achy, stiff shoulder is keeping you from getting a selfie with our AWESOME new AR Butterfly Mural, call Accelacare!

Frozen shoulders commonly come on out of nowhere, leading to achiness and pain with movement - and is caused when the joints, muscles and tendons don’t have enough space to move properly. Our physical therapist will relieve our pain with hands-on techniques to loosen up our shoulders. They will then build a program of specific stretches and exercises to keep the pain away and make sure that we get our full range of motion back.

Use physical therapy to immerse yourself in the excitement that Garden City's arts scene has to offer. Schedule an appointment online using the QR code below or give us a call at 620-271-0700 to get on the calendar!

Please welcome Polly Elpers, FNP to the clinic!

We’ve been working with Polly since the summer to put our longstanding plans for a women’s health focused primary care practice into reality. She comes to us with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Fort Hays State University, and an extensive work history across multiple settings that includes experience in direct primary care, urology and more. This diverse background positions her to serve our SWKS community well as both a primary care and a women’s health practitioner.

Polly shares our vision for goals-based care, which means that she will spend time with each patient to understand what they want to accomplish – and will work to coordinate the care that they need to achieve their personal goals. This care model aligns perfectly with what we think primary care should be: an essential link to coordinate healthcare resources towards a patient’s goals at every point in their life. The practice will be focused on caring for the whole patient and providing education and coordinating care so that each patient leaves with a better understanding of how their body works, how it needs to work for them to live their best lives, and what their next steps are for getting that care.

We’re planning to open the doors of our new practice for patients in early 2026, and will be hosting a free healthcare screening on October 18th at The United Presbyterian Church of Garden City so that community members can meet Polly and get to know her before we go-live. Check out the save-the-date below, and keep your eyes peeled for more information about the screening over the next few weeks!

We’re looking forward to serving you, Southwest Kansas!
