Varicose veins are caused by venous reflux 👇🏼

When vein valves fail, blood pools in the legs, leading to varicose veins, swelling, cramping, and heaviness. A minimally invasive catheter-based treatment can close the problem vein in about 15 minutes, with no downtime and fast recovery.

Smart surgeons try to save the knee before replacing it.

Knee pain doesn’t automatically mean a knee replacement. In many cases, symptoms can be managed first with less invasive options that preserve your natural joint.

These may include:
• Physical therapy and activity modification
• Anti-inflammatory medications
• Targeted injections
• Arthroscopy to address a meniscus tear
• Chondroplasty to smooth damaged cartilage

These treatments don’t work for everyone, but they are often the right first step before considering a full knee replacement, which is major surgery.

The goal is always to relieve pain while preserving as much of the native knee as possible.

Telehealth works best when it shortens the time between pain and action.

Early evaluation allows treatment to start sooner, whether that’s physical therapy, imaging, or medication. For many orthopedic issues, those first steps don’t require an in-person visit.

When care is delayed by weeks, injuries linger, pain worsens, and recovery slows. Virtual visits remove common barriers like missed work, travel time, and long scheduling delays, making early intervention more realistic for patients.

Telehealth isn’t about replacing hands-on care. It’s about getting the right care started at the right time.

Cold plunges can help recovery, but timing matters.

Cold exposure can reduce inflammation and pain, which may be helpful during the early stages of injury recovery. When used before rehab or training, cold therapy can calm irritated tissue and make movement more comfortable.

However, using cold plunges after strength training may actually slow muscle adaptation and growth. That’s because inflammation is part of how muscles rebuild and get stronger.

Cold therapy isn’t good or bad, it’s a tool. Used correctly, it can support recovery. Used at the wrong time, it can work against your goals.

Cracking your knuckles doesn’t damage your joints.

The popping sound comes from pressure changes inside the joint, not from cartilage breaking down. Research has consistently shown that habitual knuckle cracking does not increase the risk of arthritis or joint degeneration.

Arthritis develops from factors like genetics, age, prior injury, and mechanical wear over time, not from harmless joint noise.

If a joint is painful, swollen, or losing motion, that’s when it deserves evaluation. Noise alone is not a warning sign.

A Rotator Cuff Repair is most effective shoulder surgeries we perform.

Using an arthroscope (a small camera), the entire procedure is done through tiny incisions. This allows me to clearly see the tear, place sutures, and reattach the rotator cuff tendon to the bone, all with minimal trauma to surrounding tissue.

What used to require large incisions can now be done in about an hour with:
✅ Minimal blood loss
✅ Small cosmetic scars
✅ Faster recovery
✅ Excellent long-term outcomes

Rotator cuff tears can occur from trauma (falls, car accidents), degeneration, or repetitive sports like throwing. Arthroscopic repair offers the strongest repair with the least invasive approach.

This is a total knee replacement and yes, I do them. But I always try less invasive options first.

When a patient has knee osteoarthritis, surgery is not the first step. I start with:
✅ NSAIDs
✅ Physical therapy
✅ MRI to check for meniscus tears or cartilage damage
✅ Injections
✅ Arthroscopy, meniscectomy, or chondroplasty when appropriate

These options are far less invasive, have faster recovery, and often relieve pain without replacing the entire joint.

When a knee replacement is necessary, it works well, but it’s major surgery. Whenever possible, I prefer procedures that preserve your natural joint and get you back on your feet faster.

Your spine works like a stack of coins, when one slips, pain starts. 🪙

The spine relies on perfect alignment. In your lower back (lumbar spine) and neck (cervical spine), the natural curve, called lordosis, keeps the discs and vertebrae balanced.

When one of those discs slips, bulges, or herniates, it disrupts that alignment, just like a stack of coins toppling out of place. This can lead to:

⚡ Persistent back pain (from lumbar disc issues)
⚡ Neck pain or arm pain (from cervical disc problems)
⚡ Sciatica, if a lower disc compresses a nerve traveling down the leg

Even a small shift in one level of the spine can affect the entire column. That’s why posture, movement, and core strength are essential for long-term spine health.
