Home Health Aide (HHA)

Welcome Care Plus, an elite home-care agency is now hiring for their office in Long Island, NY. We are currently seeking certified Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides to get started immediately.

We will work with your schedule and availability to get you the best hours and locations for your needs.

To qualify you must meet the following criteria:
Care for clients ethically, respectfully and in a dignified manner
Able to find reliable transportation to and from the client’s home
Be adaptable to different environments
Have successfully completed home health aide or personal care aide training

Requirements:

Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) Certificate -
Current Physical
Current PPD or proof of a chest x-ray if positive PPD
Current Drug screen and lab work
Rubella and Rubeola Immunizations and lab work.
Influenza Vaccine(optional),
2 forms of identification (License, I.D card, Social Security, Passport, Green Card, Work Authorization permit)
Car and driver's license not required but are a plus!

Welcome Care Plus has been honored to join the Be Proud Foundation for yet another year. Even through these extremely trying times we are putting our best efforts forward to help our community and those in need. Our selfless staff has aided in personally handing out packed foods door to door. We can’t express the immense gratitude we have received from these family’s and how heartwarming it feels to be able to do this service in such a dire time of need. Teaming up with Be Proud Foundation has been such a great experience - they are a non-for-profit organization located in Brooklyn, NY working with the Russian speaking community of New York since 2003. We feel extremely privileged to be a part of such a wonderful organization, donating and delivering food packaged for people for Passover. Once again we are all setting the tone on how to unite communities and help those in need. We (the community ) are fortunate to have you donate your time on occasions like this. We are all going through very trying times during this COVID-19 outbreak, leaving elders vulnerable with little to no help and fending for themself in the outside world. Dear Welcome Care Plus staff,

The frontline for keeping the coronavirus at bay isn’t just in hospitals, it’s also maintained by tens of thousands of Home Healthcare workers who are keeping families homes safe and clean, using sanitization protocol, checking temperature (before shift and after shift), wearing gloves, masks and bringing a change of clothes to enter clients homes. We appreciate our aides who are working hard to keep loved ones fed, and ensuring they aren’t going outside. Our office staff who rotates shifts or works from home to make sure cases are staffed with healthy aides, and that our clients are happy - which is so critical during this time.

We want to thank you all from the bottom of our heart for the tremendous support and for everything you have done, are doing, and will continue to do. You are all exceptional people for what you do for others who serve with a loving heart, know that you are appreciated and commended for your amazing bravery.

We want to do our best to ensure the elders in our community are safe, Heres a list of stores and their hours dedicated to serving seniors and the vulnerable:
Albertsons Family of Grocery Stores: From 7 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, the company is reserving time for “those vulnerable shoppers who must leave home to obtain their groceries, unless otherwise locally mandated.”
Dollar General: The Goodlettsville, Tennessee-based discount chain announced it is dedicating the first hour in its more than 16,000 stores in 44 states to help senior shoppers “avoid busier and more crowded shopping periods.” The retailer said in a tweet that it wasn’t “qualifying a specific age” for the set-aside time.

Fresh Market: The grocer, which has 159 stores in 22 states, is reserving the first hour stores open, from 8 to 9 a.m. for “seniors and those most at risk” Monday through Friday.

Safeway: From 7 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, the company is reserving time for “those vulnerable shoppers who must leave home to obtain their groceries, unless otherwise locally mandated.”

Target: The retailer will “reserve the first hour of shopping each Wednesday at stores nationwide for vulnerable guests,” Target said, adding it is “encouraging other guests to plan their shopping trips around this timeframe.”

Whole Foods Market: All Whole Foods Market stores in the U.S. and Canada will let customers who are 60 and older shop one hour before opening to the public.

(CORONAVIRUS)

1. Please let us know if you or your client have any fever or shortness of breathe.
2. Please make sure your client has enough food
3. Please make sure your client has enough medication for 30 days.
4. Please make sure to bring a change of clothing to your client's home.

Protocol:
1.Change your street clothing upon arrival to client's home.
2.Put your street clothing into a plastic bag and change into clean clothing, that you will leave at your client's home for the rest of the work week.
3.At the end of your work week please take the clothing home.
4.Wash and repeat the protocol MENTIONED ABOVE.
