Struggling to feel the glutes (or posterior chain) is a common thing during movements like the Hip Hinge, especially after a low back tweak or if it’s been a minute since you’ve loaded your hips in athletic positions.

While the muscles of the low back still work during the hinge, they’re not the main movers or heavy lifters of this movement.

One of the more common faults we see in the ex*****on of the hinge are either the knee is too straight and behind the ankle or it’s too bent and forward of the ankle.

And while a common cue of “pressurize through the middle of the foot” typically tidies up this pattern, some of us still struggle to find the sweet spot.

So one way to find that sweet spot is to use this setup.
