Teething occurs when the gum line starts to expose the baby’s teeth. This is due to the baby’s teeth growing. Some symptoms to find out if your baby is teething include irritability, not being able to sleep, loss of appetite, swelling or inflammation of the gum, and teeth rubbing. The best way to comfort your baby during their teething phase includes massaging the baby’s gums, using a cold washcloth to soothe the inflammation of the baby’s gums, pacifiers, milk popsicles for refusal to eat, and over-the-counter medications. Also, always seek a dentist for assistance after the baby’s first tooth eruption.

When brushing the teeth, when you rinse your mouth, does warm water or cold water work better?
For people without sensitive teeth, it doesn’t matter if the water is hot or cold, it will function the same way. What really matters is the correct technique for brushing your teeth.
For people with sensitive teeth, it would be much better to use warmer water. The warm water will lessen the pain in the teeth. Coldwater will cause pain to the teeth. This in turn can affect the teeth from being brushed properly.

X-rays are scanned from the tip of the roots to the bones underneath the gums. X-ray scans can discover cavity, teeth decay, gum diseases, bone loss, cysts, abscesses, and other masses. X-rays can also discover wisdom teeth that would impact other teeth. It is good to get an X-ray because you might not find what you’re looking for with the naked eye.

Proper blood flow is necessary to regulate oral health. COVID-19 disrupts the blood flow throughout the body. With the disruption of the blood flow through the mouth, the teeth and gums might not receive their nutrients in order to maintain their health. A dental implant is a prosthesis that merges the bone of the jaw in order to support another dental prosthesis. These dental prostheses include crown, bridge, and dentures. They are usually made of titanium and usually serve as a substitute for the root of the tooth. Many people consider dental implants painful. That is in fact, a myth. Dental implants are less painful than compared to tooth extraction. Once the implants begin to accustom, you will experience less pain than compared to having dentures.

Dental sealants are a thin, plastic coating that surrounds the surfaces of the teeth. They are usually applied to the back teeth, preferably the premolars and the molars. They are used to prevent tooth decay. Brushing and flossing are usually hard on the premolars and the molars. With dental sealants, however, you can prevent food from being stuck in those areas.
