Friendly PSA: if your child is sick, please keep them home. Our sick policy exists to keep everyone safe (kids + staff). We can always do makeups for missed sessions, no big deal. Thanks for helping us out! ❤️

✂️⛄️❄️ So much skill-building in one fun craft!
This melted snowman activity targeted cutting skills, with the ability to grade the task by ripping paper to build hand strength. It also provided tactile input through touching glue and required hand strengthening by squeezing the glue bottle.
Play-based activities like this support fine motor development, sensory exploration, and confidence—all while having FUN.

Food play matters! 🍓🫐🍕
In OT, play-based food exploration helps children become more comfortable with different textures, smells, and appearances—especially when learning to interact with non-preferred foods.

Creative activities like building food characters allow kids to engage with food in a fun, low-pressure way, laying the foundation for confidence and positive mealtime experiences.

Small steps.👣 Big wins. ✅

✨ Happy New Year from all of us at KID FUNdamentals Therapy Center! 🥳✨

12/31/2025

2025 was a year of growth in every sense. 🤍 We began the year under construction as we expanded our clinic to better serve our families. In between the re-modeling, there were meaningful therapy sessions, big progress, and proud moments as some of our longtime kiddos graduated from OT. 🥳

We also launched our volunteer program, with several amazing volunteers dedicating 100+ hours of their time to support our clinic and families.

From everyday wins to Halloween fun and Christmas spirit days, this year was filled with growth, joy, and so much heart. Thank you to our families, therapists, and volunteers for an incredible 2025 at KID FUNdamentals Therapy Center.

A Little Intro

OUR MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission is to provide the best and most comprehensive care in pediatric occupational therapy services. Our therapy center is dedicated to providing children and their families with quality care with individualized, personal attention to their needs. We are here because we want to help children learn the fundamentals needed to enhance their skills, and become as independent as possible to live a fuller life.

KID FUNdamentals Therapy Center, Inc. was founded by Leslie Valmonte, M.A., OTR/L, and is the current owner and president of this outpatient clinic. Leslie has over 12 years experience working as a pediatric occupational therapist. She chose to become an Occupational Therapist in Pediatrics because of her passion for children. Throughout her college years, Leslie has had a wide breadth of internships that exposed her to numerous avenues of Occupational Therapy. It was until an internship that involved children was when she realized her calling to the pediatric field.

Going into private practice has been a path Leslie has always planned. Upon completing the requirements to become a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist, she first focused her energies in becoming a skilled clinician by gaining hands-on experience to provide quality care to those she serves. Now, with over a decade of experience in public schools and private clinics, Leslie brings depth needed to provide services in private practice.
