A Message about Coronavirus/COVID-19
Expression Speech Therapy’s highest priority is always the safety of our clients, their families and our Expressions Team. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the coronavirus, or COVID-19, and some of its effects around the world. The Expressions Team is closely monitoring this evolving situation and looking to health agencies for information and guidance.
Expressions intends to continue to provide intervention to our clients in accordance with our regular schedule and we continue to implement preventive measures as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as our own health and hygiene protocols.
Our clinic has high standards of cleanliness, which assists with illness prevention. We employ rigorous sanitation standards and robust cleaning procedures, including:
• Ensuring the maintenance of a safe and hygienic workplace and environment for our clients and their families
• Specified intervals for frequent cleaning and disinfection of targeted areas throughout the day
• Numerous and accessible handwashing facilities and hand sanitizer locations
• Daily and frequent sanitation procedures for restrooms and waiting room areas
The leadership team at Expressions is communicating with our team members about illness prevention; this includes guidance issued by the CDC. As this situation continues to evolve, we encourage our clients and their families to also check the CDC website (www.cdc.gov) regularly for updates. We also ask that our clients continue to adhere to our illness prevention guidelines and continue to cancel your session if you or your child are feeling unwell.
Finally, we want to assure you that Expressions is closely monitoring the situation and are updating our team as new information and recommendations are given by local health authorities. By working together, we can collectively reduce our risk of viral illness and keep our clinic and community safe.
Thank you for your continued support and trust in Expressions Speech Therapy!
Sincerely,
Erin Densmore and Stacy DeRenard
