On today’s segment of ✨Danielle’s Demos✨ she is demonstrating a Piriformis stretch. This stretch is great for those who have tightness in their glutes, hip rotators and adductors. She will hold this position for about 30 seconds before switching onto the other side.

There are many reasons that could cause tightness in the piriformis muscle. You may have heard of Piriformis Syndrome. This syndrome is from having inflamed piriformis muscles. When this muscle begins to push down onto the sciatic nerve, it can cause excruciating pain which can be caused from sitting for long periods of time, vigorous excercise or an accident.

It’s always important to listen to your body! We only have one so let’s take good care of it 👍

Do you have tight hamstrings and calves?

Tight hamstrings and calves are one of the most common things we may deal with throughout our lives. It may seem like a small issue but having constant tight hamstring and calf muscles can start a negative domino effect for the rest of your body.

Tight hamstrings and calves can lead to...
-pelvic issues
-tight hip flexors
-muscle cramps
-neural tension
-back pain
-knee pain
-prone to injury
Etc.

This is why stretching your hamstrings and calves play a vital role in maintaining a healthy body and preventing yourself from any serious injury.

When in doubt, just stretch it out! 👍

On today’s segment of ✨Danielle’s Demos✨ Danielle shows a Lumbar rotational stretch. This stretch targets many muscles in the back and with a certain angle it can directly target the quadratus lumborum muscle. This stretch also works the superior glutes area as well 👍

On today’s segment of ✨Danielle’s Demos✨ she demonstrates a Levator Scapulae Stretch. This stretch can help relieve tightness and pain in the neck and shoulder area.

Sitting for a long period of time with poor posture can put a lot of stress and pressure in the muscles in the neck and back, one of them being the Levator Scapulae. Over time, the constant pressure and stress can irritate the muscle which can cause for it to be inflamed and sore.

If you have any of these symptoms make sure your posture is correct when sitting and standing. Check out our posture post to see a comparison of good and poor posture! 🤓
