Moments like this remind me why I love what I do 💛

In the middle of working hard on upper body strengthening and fine motor skills, my sweet client paused and created this.

Building skills is important, but building connection and being trusted and loved by the children I work with means everything. ☺️🩵

Does your child struggle with things like focus, handwriting, coordination or emotional regulation?

Sometimes these challenges aren’t just a phase and they can be linked to retained primitive reflexes.

At Infinity & Beyond Kidz, we focus on identifying the root cause and helping children build the skills they need to thrive. We specialize in addressing retained primitive reflexes to support your child’s development from the ground up.

Easter egg fun challenge 🐣🥚

What looked like a fun challenge this week was actually packed with so much skill-building behind the scenes!

We worked on primitive reflex integration, prone extension, core and upper body strengthening, coordination, balance, motor planning, and body awareness,
all while keeping things playful and engaging! 😄

I love creating sessions where kids are having fun, staying motivated, and building essential skills without even realizing how hard they’re working 💛

Play with purpose, always!

April is Occupational Therapy Month 💙

I truly feel so lucky to do what I love every single day. Being an OT isn’t just my job, it’s something I’m deeply passionate about. I get to play, connect, and help kids build the skills they need to grow, thrive, and feel confident in themselves.

From the smallest wins to the biggest milestones, every moment matters, and I’m so grateful to be part of each child’s journey.

A huge thank you to all the families who trust me with their kids. It means more than you know, and I don’t take that trust lightly.

Here’s to more play, more progress, and more meaningful moments ✨

🔺️ Why STNR matters when kids are copying from the board:

➡️ Head control: The STNR reflex helps children move their head up and down smoothly without their arms or legs stiffening or reacting unintentionally.

➡️ Posture: When STNR isn’t fully integrated, kids may slump, lean on the desk, or use their non-dominant hand for extra support while writing.

➡️ Eye–hand coordination: Copying requires looking up at the board and back down to paper with ease.
STNR challenges can interrupt that flow and slow them down.

➡️ Attention: When a child has to work harder just to stay upright, it can take away energy and focus from learning.

✅️ When STNR is well integrated…
✔️ Sitting upright feels natural and easier
✔️ Shifting gaze from board to paper becomes smoother
✔️ Writing improves in speed and legibility
✔️ Copying tasks feel less tiring and frustrating

🌟 Strong posture, better focus, and smoother movement! Integrating STNR helps set kids up for success in the classroom!

As an occupational therapist, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children who had been in therapy for a very long time.

Many times, with the right plan of care and treatment approach, as well as strong parent involvement, those same children made significant progress in just a few months!

Here are some questions you can ask as a parent! You have the right to ask questions and advocate for your child to have the best treatment and care! 💗

Meet Wiggly W***y 💛

In this session, Wiggly W***y helped us talk about the Yellow Zone, when our bodies feel wiggly, worried, frustrated, or a little too excited.

This was her 3rd session learning about the Zones of Regulation, and using a puppet makes it easier and more fun for children to recognize their feelings and learn tools to help their bodies calm down.

And the best part? They’re learning through play, connection, and laughter.

Want to learn more about the Zones of Regulation? Check my previous post!
