‘Tis the season for all things Pumpkin! HWC Residents made Pumpkin Bread yesterday and are selling individual loaves today in the HWC lobby for $4 per loaf (WHILE SUPPLIES LAST)! All proceeds from the sales go directly to the HWC Resident Activity Fund which is managed by Resident Council and used for activities and items that are available to benefit all residents.

Great job to our participants in yesterday's Walk to End Alzheimer's! So far, Team HWC has raised over $850 for the Alzheimer's Association in an effort to find a cure for this disease that affects so many. Thank You to all who supported our team once again this year! HWC returned to the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce Chili Chowder Taste Off last night. Chef John made his delicious Black Bean and Beef Chili and his Feast of the Seven Fishes Chowder (to fit with the evening's Christmas theme). Santa (who was health code compliant with his beard net) and his Elf helped Chef John serve hundreds of attendees who came ready to sample the area's best chilis & chowders. Our very own Resident Service Manager Rheana took home the trophy for the Ugly Sweater Contest! Congratulations Rheana, and to all the winners, vendors and participants!

Congratulations to the winners of last night's Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce Chili Chowder Taste Off! We had a great time participating. Shout out to our very own Resident Service Manager, Rheana, for winning the Ugly Sweater Contest! Stay tuned for a post later with pictures.

We’re so grateful to all our guests who came out to taste, vote, and celebrate, our amazing vendors and competitors for serving up delicious chili and chowder, and our event planning committee for all their hard work bringing this festive evening together.
