If you’re concerned about Type 2 Diabetes, you’re not alone because it’s the most common form of Diabetes.

The good news is that in many cases it is reversible, especially when it is caught early.

We start seeing signs of Insulin Resistance long before we start to see blood sugars and Hemoglobin A1C start to elevate. We can recommend adjusting your diet and provide nutritional support and exercise instruction so your body is properly using insulin and glucose, helping to prevent long-term side effects.

If you already have diabetes, Dr. Kristine or Dr. Tobi can provide nutritional advice to improve your health at the cellular level.

Quick sleep fact:

The blue light from phones and screens tells your brain it's still daytime.

That signal can slow down melatonin (the hormone that helps you fall asleep), which is why scrolling late at night can leave your brain feeling wired.

A few simple things that help your brain wind down:
- dim the lights about an hour before bed
- put your phone away 30-60 minutes before sleep
- read, stretch, pray, or do a few minutes of quiet breathing

Your brain actually likes a gentle landing before sleep.

When we talk about health, it’s easy to focus on just one symptom at a time.

But the body doesn’t work that way.

Digestion, energy levels, inflammation, sleep, stress, and nutrition all influence one another. When one area is out of balance, it often shows up in other ways too.

That’s why we take a step back and look for patterns across the whole system — not just isolated symptoms.

Understanding those patterns helps guide more personalized nutrition and lifestyle support.

Your body usually whispers before it starts shouting.

Little signals like:
• waking up stiff
• headaches that come and go
• shoulders creeping toward your ears
• needing to stretch constantly
• feeling “off” but not injured

These are often your nervous system asking for a reset before things escalate into pain.

Paying attention to those early signals is one of the best ways to stay ahead of bigger issues.

What does dry needling actually do?

Ever had a muscle knot that just won’t release no matter how much you stretch it?

Sometimes those tight spots are trigger points — small areas within the muscle that stay contracted and limit blood flow.

Dry needling targets those exact spots. A very thin needle is placed into the trigger point to stimulate the muscle, which helps:

• restore blood flow
• flush out inflammatory chemicals
• allow the muscle fiber to reset and heal

Once circulation returns to the area, the muscle is finally able to relax and move normally again.

This process helps the muscle release tension and return to normal function.

Meet Edison — my official March pace-setter 🐶

We’re doing a 100-mile walking challenge this month, one step at a time. Movement doesn’t have to be intense — it just has to be consistent.

Walking supports:
✔ circulation
✔ nervous system balance
✔ posture awareness
✔ reduced joint stiffness

If you’ve been feeling stuck, tight, or out of rhythm this winter, this is a simple way to get back on track — gently but consistently.

If you’ve ever wondered why relief doesn’t always last, this might help explain why. 🧩

Muscle moves bone.
If a muscle isn’t being properly recruited or regulated by the nervous system, it can continue to influence that joint’s position - even after it’s been adjusted.

If the tension remains, the body often returns to the same pattern, much like a stretched rubber band snapping back.

That’s why I assess the muscle-nerve connection, not just the joint itself.

Because lasting change happens when stability, coordination, and joint motion are addressed together.
