CVH welcomes Alexandria Hastings, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), to its Cardiology team, expanding access to specialty heart care for patients. ❤️‍🩹

Hastings has focused her practice on Cardiology since 2022, driven by a long-standing personal interest and a family history of cardiac disease. “Heart health is more than numbers on a chart,” she said. “I look at the whole person—their stress, their relationships, their lifestyle. Those factors play just as big a role in heart health as medication.”

Reminder ❗

Medicare open enrollment ends Dec. 7! If you're considering switching from a Medicare Advantage Plan due to recent changes in coverage for Douglas County residents, now is your chance to return to traditional Medicare and purchase a supplemental plan. The advantage of this option is that it allows access to care at all Northern Nevada Hospitals as well as access to tertiary care at facilities in other states.

CVH is in network with the following Medicare Advantage plans: Aetna, United, Anthem, Allwell, and Humana. Allwell and Humana are available for Douglas County residents and are in-network with CVH.

Just a reminder in case you sustain an injury during your annual Turkey Bowl 🦃🏈

Ironwood Urgent Care will be closed on Thursday, November 27 for Thanksgiving and will be open from 9AM-5PM on Friday, November 28.

In the event of an emergency, the Emergency Room at the main hospital in Gardnerville is open 24/7 every day of the year.

We are thrilled to welcome Heather Wetmore, Physician Assistant, Certified (PA-C), to the Primary Care at Minden Village team.

Heather came to CVH because of the family environment. “I heard great things about CVH, especially that it has a close family environment within its staff, which drew me here.” Heather added, “I would like my patients to know that I hope to make them feel comfortable so they can come to me with their issues, and we'll be able to talk through things together.”
