At 84 years old, Bob faced a life-threatening aortic dissection and wasn’t sure he would survive.

Emergency surgery saved his life. But what helped him reclaim it was cardiac rehabilitation.

After weeks of uncertainty, anxiety, and depression during recovery, Bob enrolled in cardiac rehab at CVH Rehabilitation and Outpatient Therapy Center. Three times a week, he rebuilt his strength, confidence, and sense of purpose.

Today, he’s back on the golf course and living fully.

“I don’t think it’s discretionary,” Bob says. “It should be mandatory.” If you or someone you love has experienced a heart event, we encourage you to learn more about cardiac rehabilitation and how it supports long-term recovery.
