At JMAC In-Home Care we provide non-medical in-home care to seniors, people with disability, people recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, or anyone who needs help with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or general equivalency with Home Health experience. *Minimum of two (2) years of management or supervisory experience in a health-related setting. Health-related settings include a HCSSA, a hospital, a nursing facility, a hospice, an outpatient rehabilitation center, a psychiatric facility, and an intermediate care facility for persons with mental retardation or related conditions, or a licensed health care delivery setting providing services.

Home Health Care Medical Biller.

JMAC In-Home Care is looking for a part-time billing and coding/office assistant to deliver outstanding customer service to our patients. This job will include both front office and light back office responsibilities. The ideal candidate has a background in healthcare or a comparable industry, preferably in home health or healthcare company. We are looking for someone who is warm, friendly, compassionate, able to multi-task efficiently and is able to learn and adapt quickly. Computer proficiency is a requisite. Experience with electronic medical records and billing software is preferred. Responsibilities and Tasks Include:

* Provide meaningful, high-quality interactions with every patient.

*Collect demographic and insurance data from patients and accurately enter it in to EMR.

* Answer telephones in a polite, friendly and efficient manner.

* Follow up on any authorization denials/discrepancies.

*Bill invoices weekly and submit them electronically.

* Assist other staff in various projects.

* Contribute in staff meetings on how we can continually improve patient experience. A professional demeanor at all times is required in order to fulfill the requirements of this position.

*Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 Coding.

*Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer method like Private Pay.

*Maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).

Qualifications:
