Hancock County Farm Bureau's outgoing President, Darrin Kruger received the County Award of Excellence on behalf of the board during Iowa Farm Bureau Federation’s 107th annual meeting held Dec. 9-10 in Des Moines.
This designation recognizes county Farm Bureaus that actively engaged and achieved success in the priority areas of membership, policy, leadership development and community outreach.
“Our organization’s strength lies in the passion and dedication of our county members,” said Brent Johnson, Iowa Farm Bureau president. “Their unwavering advocacy and leadership are not only foundational to Iowa Farm Bureau’s mission and Iowa agriculture but also helps rural communities thrive and grow.”

Caleb Renner, fifth-generation farmer and Hancock County Farm Bureau Board Member of Klemme saw an opportunity to improve safety and efficiency on the farm. Renner developed a replacement for bin sweeps called AgriNet, designed to make grain bin unloading both safer and more effective.

Iowa agricultural entrepreneurs Josh Jeske of Terraform Tillage and Caleb Renner of Renner Ag Solutions said they’ve been humbled by their experience as top 10 semifinalists in the 2026 Ag Innovation Challenge.

Hancock County had great representation at this year's IFBF Annual Meeting in Paul Brozik (left) who currently serves as our HCFB Vice President, Mike Hejlik (middle) who served his last term as HCFB’s Voting Delegate, and Darrin Krguer (right) who is HCFB’s outgoing Board President.

Farmers from across the state gathered at the 2025 Iowa Farm Bureau Annual Meeting & County Leadership Conference the past two days, where IFBF honored the accomplishments of the County Farm Bureaus and celebrated the strength and unity of our grassroots organization and members. This event was all about recognizing the people, progress, and pride that define Farm Bureau and the heart of Iowa.

On Monday, Nov. 24th the Hancock County Farm Bureau Board had representation at the Iowa Farm Bureau District 2 meeting at HCFB Office in Garner. The evening began with dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by the district’s business meeting. This District 2 meeting was held just prior to the IFBF Annual Convention coming up Dec. 9th and 10th!
