We celebrated National Law Enforcement Day on Jan. 9 with a visit to our local police department.

We are so thankful for our local community. This holiday season was made extra special for our residents by some in our local community.

🎄✨ Thank you to Skeeter Strong!
Skeeter donated $400 left over from their previous gifting to our residents. This money was used to purchase items for our adopt a resident program.

🎄✨ Thank you to Anita Gray, Jerry Gray and the 13 other volunteers from Covenant Fellowship Church!
They visited our long-term care residents to give them gift bags filled with many useful items and prayed/talked with them. Anita stopped by prior to their visits to tour our center and learn more about specific restrictions they would need for their gifts. She put in so much thought and care into their visit.

Jamie posted on local pages to see if others would join her in donating items. She reached out to the Chichester, Aston and Garnet Valley area. Thank you to everyone who joined her in giving!
Jamie and her 3-year-old son Stephen dropped off the items, including pajama sets, socks/slippers, blankets, sweaters, pants, crafts, games and snack boxes, and met with some of the residents while they were here.

🎄✨ A local girl scout group came to carol and craft after dinner one evening and had it all organized on their own with their leaders assistance.

🎄✨ We also had 5 additional donations that were made anonymously.

Thank you all for your donations and your time. You made this holiday season so special for our residents.

Congratulations to Renee Billops, admissions coordinator, who was awarded a Shining Star today! Renee was surprised by this award today in front of her peers.

The nominations pointed out her care and compassion as well as her attention to detail in the work she completes. She is always willing to take on new tasks and help out where needed and works diligently to provide compassionate care to the residents.

We are so proud to have Renee on our team! And we are thankful to be able spend some time this holiday season to celebrate her. Congratulations, Renee!

The children of St. Cornelius Parish PREP brought the sounds of Christmas to our residents. They surely brought joy to all as they sang during dinner and strolling the halls!

Legacy Church reached out again this year to sing Christmas Carols for our residents. We were delighted to have them back. They also brought a holiday craft along to add to the fun! Thank you for such a wonderful evening.
