Happy National Activity Professionals Week! What would we do without these two fantastic volunteers. Chris and Andrea Weidman have been volunteering at Miller's for many years.

Chris (Bingo man) calls Bingo three times a week and Andrea helps residents with the cards and passes out the prizes. When they are not calling Bingo they are in the building conducting Bible studies, taking the resident to Church services, visiting, ministering, and praying with residents, families, and staff. They truly are the hands and feet of God.

Thank you, Chris and Andrea, for everything you do here at Miller's!

Happy National Activity Professionals Week to our Activity Assistants, Valerie Craft and Debra Drew.

These two ladies work very hard and bringing the residents to the scheduled activities, completing one-to-one visits, and all kinds of other job duties. They both have worked at the Miller's for over a year. Happy National Activity Professionals Week, ladies!

Happy National Activity Professionals Week!

Sharon McNutt is the Activity Director here at Miller's Merry Manor - Garrett. Sharon started out as a Certified Nursing Assistant in April of 1990. She then received her QMA and eventually applied for the Activity Director and has been providing meaningful activities ever since. Sharon takes great pride in her activities and her staff. We are a few weeks into 2026 so why not ask some staff what their 2026 New Year's resolutions are! Valerie stated, "My New Year's resolution consists of 3 things:
1. To work on my career, increase growth, and professional development.
2. To improve my health through better habits.
3. To be intentional in my marriage by being loving and supportive the way God intended me to be."

What are some of your resolutions?

"My stay here is going very well. I do not know how long I will be here and have no complaints. The staff is very good and make me laugh. Therapy does a great job, is very nice, and helpful. The food is good and the ice cream is delicious."

Happy New Year! We asked some of our residents what their 2026 New Year's resolutions were. Faith stated, "My New Year's resolution is that my eyes stay in good health. I need to take care of them. I need to get enough rest and follow doctor's orders."

Thank you to everyone who came to Miller's Merry Manor this holiday season and blessed the residents and staff with Christmas carols, treats, gifts, activities, and just your presence in our community. It is impossible to even try to mention everyone because some just stopped in and caroled in the evenings.

Just know we are THANKFUL for each and everyone of you!

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Here at Miller's Merry Manor we had a very Merry Christmas.

On Tuesday the staff enjoyed playing hallway bingo and on Christmas Eve the residents and staff decorated Christmas cookies and enjoyed a hot coco bar. Later that evening they participated in a candlelight Christmas Eve service and then listened to the reading of the Night Before Christmas. Later everyone was snug in there beds for Santa.

It would be hard for the residents to pick just one favorite event in 2025. There were just too many – we had the trip to the zoo, Senior Bash, McDonalds trips, Los Cabo's luncheon, Fall Feast at the Church at Garrett, and not to mention our annual fundraiser, poker night, community Thanksgiving services, and so many more.

We plan on doing even more fun activities in 2026!

Thank you to the Church at Garrett for a wonderful afternoon of singing Christmas Carols while Josh Staller created a magnificent chalk art of the manger scene. We were just in awe as we sang and enjoyed watching Josh create such beautiful art before our eyes.
