Our patients can reach a doctor 24 hours a day. There is a physician on call 24 hours a day and even on holidays to handle your emergencies. Although we provide these services for your safety, we ask that you try to discuss your problems with your physician during regular business hours.

Keeping You Healthy
It is our goal to keep you healthy. Certain diseases can cause alot of harm if not caught early. Some of these diseases are so common and deadly that we recommend everyone be tested for them. This is called screening.
Here is a List of Diseases for which We Routinely Screen:
High Blood Pressure
It increases your risk for having a heart attack or stroke due to damage to the blood vessels in your body. You should get this checked every year.
High Cholesterol
This is a fatty substance that can clog-up your arteries and cause heart attack and stroke. You should get this checked every year if you are older than 35 years of age.
Diabetes
This is a fancy name for having too much sugar in your blood. If uncontrolled it can cause infections, blindness, heart attacks and loss of arms or legs. You should get this checked every year. Known diabetics should see their doctor every 3-4 months.
Colon Cancer
Your colon is part of your body that helps you to digest food. If cancer develops here and is not detected, cancer may spread throughout your body, killing other organs. If you are over 50 years old, you should get this checked every year.
Prostate Cancer
Your prostate is an organ that only males have. If you are a male over 40 years old, you should get checked every year for prostate cancer. All that is required is a simple blood test and/or a digital re**al exam.

Smoking is the number one killer in the U.S. Many people want to quit but the habit is too hard to break. Your doctor can help. Ask about medicines that can help.
Cervical Cancer
The cervix is at the entrance of your womb. We can detect cancer of the cervix with a test called a pap smear. Women should get this test every year after age 18.
Breast Cancer
In addition to performing periodic self breast exams, Women over 40 years old should have a mammogram every year. Breast Cancer has an excellent chance of cure if caught early.
