During the holidays people often decorate their loved one's memorials. Please remember that flocked or velvet artificial flowers and velvet ribbons can bleed and stain the granite. Artificial red poinsettias are especially prone to this. As a general rule, you should test your decorations by wetting them and then touching to a paper towel before using on your monument.

In honor of Veterans Day, we would like to thank all who served in the armed forces for their service and sacrifice.

Veterans Day is observed every year on November 11th and evolved from Armistice Day, which was proclaimed by President Woodrow Wilson in 1919. Armistice Day recognizes the end of World War I, when fighting ceased at the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month in 1918. After American involvement in World War II and the Korean War, Congress renamed it from Armistice Day to Veterans Day in 1954.

In place of the traditional flower vase, a Jet Black granite heart was selected and engraved with intertwined wedding rings, a banner, and the couple’s wedding date, symbolizing enduring love and commitment.
