Cayden was supposed to have his st Jude trips at the beginning of February but those snow storms made it impossible. They have just informed us the new appointments won’t be until May now.
He’s pretty upset about it cause he was looking forward to it but I explained now when we go, there won’t be any cold weather so we can do so much more and even plan a trip to the zoo if he wanted.
He’s also been going to speech and occupational once a week now and is doing an amazing job. His speech has improved so much even though he has a speech sound disorder.
He’s also back to occupational to help with his sensory processing disorder and ADD. We can all tell a huge improvement!

He also asked if I’d show everyone the ship he built in Minecraft. He found the front half of a ship floating in the sky and fixed it up and built the base as well. It’s crazy what these kids can do in this game💕

It’s official, we are heading out in about 3 weeks for our yearly check up with st Jude!

I also just got off the phone with them, they scheduled a dentist appointment to be added to his schedule. They don’t like the images his doctors office took so they are going to take a more detailed image of his teeth while we are there so we can see how many adult teeth he is missing much better. Then we will go from there to figure out what will be best for him.

So far, he only has 2 days of appointments scheduled but as usual, appointments get added while we are there.

We will be heading out on February 1st so keep an eye out.

It’s a weird feeling tho. Through his life as a st Jude patient, I was always told it gets easier. I never believed them. He was so little, he never understood. But he knew the moment bags were packed, the directions we took in the car, he knew. Instant meltdown. But now, he gets excited and looks forward to his visits. He’s wishing the trip would come sooner and is so excited to stay in the new hotel St Jude built, excited to see what new play areas they’ve added, and to see all of his old friends and favorite nurses.

About 7 years of this, it’s his normal. And I wish it didn’t have to be. But I’m thankful he’s found the good in all of it. I think we can all learn something from the things all of these kids have to go through. There’s always good to look forward to💕

Well guys, it’s my first post in awhile and it’s not the best of news but once again, it was a possibility we was told could happen. With how young Cayden was during treatment, we was warned the chemo could damage his adult teeth.
He had a regular cleaning at his dentist today and they did a growth scan to check up on everything. We discovered Cayden does not have his adult teeth in the back. Not only are they not there, it’s causing the canine teeth to grow in sideways for the ones he does have. His dentist is worried about doing anything without St Jude so we will be calling to see what the plan is going to be. His dentist said for the missing teeth, he will have to either get implants or partial dentures.
It’s not the best news but it was something we was warned about. Cayden is not happy about it either cause like anyone else, nobody enjoys the dentist.
I’ll make another update after I speak to his team in Memphis and figure out a game plan. He still has his up coming checkup in February as well.

Cayden stood up at church to tell what he’s appreciated about. He said he’s very appreciated that god made Hot Wheels and that they make him very happy💕

WE DID IT 🎉🎊🥳🙌

5 years out of treatment and he’s still NED!!!

Scans came back clear and we couldn’t be more happier!! 5 years of fighting for this warrior and he came out stronger than ever!! This momma couldn’t be more happier and proud!

He will now be moved out of D clinic and into ACT Clinic! He will be with them until he graduates highschool or turns 18. We will continue to come back once a year for check ups and scans.

Now we focus on the aftermath of treatment and possible side effects. We have came across some possible ones but nothing major or anything to worry about right now. Just some things to keep an eye on for now.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you who has been here from the beginning or has joined us through the process. Your prayers have helped us so much. 💕

Cayden is done with his MIBG and for the first time ever, he did it while he was awake!!! He didn’t have to be put to sleep this time and we are all so proud of him!
So St Jude celebrated for him and even signed a poster for him!
We are now headed home and will soon find out the results. I will update everyone as soon as the results come in.
Thank you all for every single prayer, please continue praying for amazing results and a safe trip home 💕

It’s been a super long day, I’m sorry for the late post. I’ll post tomorrow with an update for everyone.
We will be getting up early in the morning for his MIBG scan and then will be getting to go home! Wish us luck! 💕

Cayden’s getting ready to go back for his CT scan. Originally he was going to be doing his scans tomorrow but due to weather, they wasn’t able to get his nuclear injection in today. So now he will be getting his MIBG scan on Friday.

Cayden and Lydia got their hair done at St Jude’s new hair studio!
They had so much fun and feel so much better. Lydia got colors added and Cayden had hair chalk added as well! 💕

Today has been a busy day with appointments. A lot of paperwork signing for the research studies he will be in, including the tests for those.
He had an ultrasound of his liver done, bloodwork, and a scan to see how long it took him to digest water.
Everything came back normal except for the digest scan but I will be speaking with them tomorrow about it.

As for the bloodwork, little man did such a great job! He had to get poked twice cause the first one failed but he never once cried! It’s the first time in history that he has done this and we are all so proud of him! He’s also so proud of himself and told everyone he ran into how much of a big boy he is now!

Tomorrow we have more appointments in regards to the research studies, plus some normal appointments for him as well like a check up with audiology.

This momma is beat and wore out, I’ll post another update tomorrow as well. His big scan to check for neuroblastoma and ct scan isn’t until Thursday so keep an eye out! Thank you for keeping Cayden in your prayers!💕
