Something to consider...
In all honesty, glasses or contacts can be expensive even with the help of vision discount plans. When you think about it though, your vision is important for almost EVERYTHING (driving, reading, working...). If you break down the cost of glasses per day compared to a daily cup of coffee or your cell phone bill it really puts things into perspective. Schedule an appointment for your annual eye examination so we can help get you a new pair of glasses or contacts that are reasonably priced for you budget.

This morning I discussed contact lenses on Eagle 101.5. I personally wear daily disposable contacts because my eyes become itchy and irritated due to seasonal allergies. I love having a fresh new pair to wear everyday! Daily disposable contacts are great for kids, patients with dry eye and/or allergies, or even patients who want to wear contact part-time. Contacts can correct for many types of prescriptions. If you missed it, I talked on Eagle 101.5 again this morning at 7:30. I will be on briefly every Wednesday morning at 7:30 to discuss important eye-related topics for the next 6 weeks (however, I won't be on next Wednesday, July 4th). Last week's topic was the importance of UV protection year round. Today, I talked about eye care for kids. I have copied some links below to highlight how frequently kids (and adults) should be getting their eyes checked and what components go into an eye examination. Vision is so much more than seeing 20/20! The eyes play an important role in many tasks and skills children need to develop before and during the early years of school.
