Tiny Tip Tuesdayđź’«
If you feel like a bottomless pit in your late luteal phase… you’re not alone, your body is just asking for support.
This is when I intentionally add a protein + carb snack to keep blood sugar stable, energy up, and cravings from running the show.
Lately, it’s been my go-to:
Greek yogurt + chia + berries with cacao. Because chocolate 🍫 . Simple. Balanced. Effective.
Because white-knuckling your way through cravings?
That’s not discipline, that’s a setup for a kitchen disaster at some point. Willpower is BS.
Work with your body, not against it.
Cheers to Your Health!

Over the past few years, one of the most meaningful parts of my work has been watching women come together around health, learning, and real conversation. With that in mind, I’m excited to introduce something new to the Feed Mind Body Soul community.
The Feed Mind Body Soul Book Club: Soul Sisters
This will be a space for women to gather, learn, and discuss books centered around health, wellness, and living well in midlife. We’ll meet approximately every 6 weeks to talk about ideas that help us better understand our bodies, our health, and how to age well.
Our first meeting will be:
Tuesday, May 12
6:30 PM
Geneva Public Library + Zoom
In-person space will be limited to a max of 20 participants due to space, but a Zoom option will be available for anyone who would like to join virtually.
The cost to participate in each book club meeting will be $20, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Geneva Community Chest, supporting local organizations that help our community thrive.
Our first book will be:
The New Perimenopause by
(release date April 7th, currently on pre-order)
This book is an excellent starting point for women navigating perimenopause and menopause, covering topics like hormones, metabolism, sleep, and strength as we move through midlife. If you are already in menopause, I still feel this content can be VERY relevant to where you are, so do not let that dictate your participation. I've also read her prior book, The New Menopause, and I'm nearly 55 myself, so there is that!
My hope is that this becomes a warm, welcoming space where women can learn, share experiences, and support each other on the journey toward better health.
Before you reach for digestive supplements… try this first:
👉 Add something bitter before your meals
Think: arugula, lemon, or a few drops of bitters
Bitters work by signaling your body that food is coming! Turning on stomach acid, enzymes, and bile so you can actually break down and absorb your food.
✔️ Better fat digestion
✔️ Less bloating
✔️ More efficient detox
💡 Hot take: Bitters don’t add digestion… they turn it on.
If you still need support, digestive enzymes can be a great add-on—but start with your body first.

My name is DeeDee, I'm a first class honors graduate from the Edison Institute of Holistic Nutrition with a certification in Holistic Nutrition. Additionally I am a Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert. Using the latest in research and modern day holistic nutrition, combined with ancient practices such as Ayurveda and mindfulness/meditation; I use food, herbs, stress management tools and body movement to inspire individuals, groups and corporations to find their ultimate health. My goal is to empower you to have the energy and vibrancy required to pursue your life's passion.
After years in the business world as an Advertising Executive and business team leader with a Masters in Marketing, family health issues including a hereditary lung disease impacting my mother and an autoimmune disease contracted post childbirth effecting my daily life, I began to dig deep into the root cause of these issues. This led me to study Holistic Nutrition at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto for two years. Since moving back to the states I completed my studies with The Edison Institute of Holistic Nutrition. While I have a certification in Holistic Nutrition and am a Certified Culinary Expert, the State of Illinois only allows Registered Dietitians to practice individualized nutrition consultations in relation to specific conditions. This is not the case in many other states.
I am currently seeing clients on an individual and group basis in regards to nutritional and weight loss education and work with them on a 3 month basis to live their best healthy life. We address general nutrition, stress management, sleep optimization and body movement. I provide 3 month long healthy recipe plans, a food and mood tracker, a whole foods detox and tips on managing stress, sleeping better and movement to support goals.
My Mission
As a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert I seek to restore the body which is out of balance due to nutritional deficiency and toxicity, ultimately bringing alignment to mind, body and soul.
