Pain is not the beginning of the problem. It is the point where the body's compensation ran out of capacity.

The story almost always starts with "I just bent over" or "I wasn't doing anything unusual."

But the mechanical problem behind that acute episode had been active long before that moment.

The body adapts silently.
The nervous system compensates.
The threshold gets approached over weeks or months before it is finally crossed.

The tightness that was always there. The area that was almost out a few times. The recovery that took a bit longer than it should. Those were the signals of the compensation phase.
